Hi, Somebody has ripped me off in the BST section by selling me something which was falsely described in the thread. I have requested a refund but the seller is refusing to cooperate. I'm worried that if I leave the user a negative iTrader, he will also leave a negative iTrader out of pure selfishness, even though I have been completely fair on my side. I understand that iTraders are permanent and cannot be removed. Is there anything I can do to ensure the user does not abuse the iTrader system?
You guys can exchange -ve itraders if you wish. whoever gives the first -ve itrader should be prepared to get one in return. best of luck.... I am sure the mods/admin aren't going to do anything in this matter.
Lol.. I'm not even going to bother arguing in a public thread. It's pretty clear that I've been scammed.
Always use due diligence in any online deal both on and off DP. DP policy We do not have the time (or desire) to babysit members. If there is anyone that you don't get along with, you can choose to ignore them under your Buddy / Ignore Lists. Please don't ask to have a member banned simply because you don't get along with them. There are plenty of members that the administrators wouldn't consider friends, but it's not our job to silence members that we don't agree with. We don't get involved in business disputes between members, but you are welcome to use 3rd party dispute resolution services.
I think it's quite ironic you posted that, since it actually has nothing to do with my question. Off topic perhaps? Message the user and tell him that, this post is irrelevant to my question.
Whaat?? Smyrl has said it all.He/she is a moderator btw. If you are giving him/her an i-trader , that's because you think the deal was bad for you. On the other hand, the scammer ( Your claim ) may also give you a negative i-trader as his deal has also gone bad though his intentions weren't good. I-trader is about the perspective of the people involved in the deals, not necessarily a measure or method of telling who scammed who.I know it's not perfect, but they never claimed it to be.
Not here to argue, abstroose. From my perspective, itrader issues stem from member disputes. Hence the statement above regarding due diligence and member disputes. My personal philosophy in regard to itrader is I have been screwed, but I am not willing to sit quietly by and say nothing. I have the right to post a factual account in deal thread outlining what took place and use itrader. That way anyone researching the itrader issue can make an informed decision.
Thanks for the response. I didn't mean to come across so stubborn earlier, I hope you can understand I've had a bad day after being scammed for $120 from another DP member this morning. I just didn't want this to turn into an argument about whom was right or wrong - it was a genuine question on iTrader, and my question has now been answered.
I would guess you people having no experience with the PayPal Dispute Resolution Process for Digital goods.
I know how you feel; I vouched earlier for messages to be attached to iTraders; as of right now, I think they are only visible to Staff and the users involved in the iTrading. Visible messages would solve this, and many other, issues in general because people would be able to get some backstory on the issue between two people..As would the option to delete iTraders you leave for someone, seeing as how resolutions are often made after both parties have had time to think and cool off. Eh, that's just my opinion.
Factual account of transaction details belong in deal thead where those researching the itrader can view both sides.
Oh, really? I wasn't aware of that; I'm afraid to post in deal threads because of all the infractions handed out in the B/S/T forum..but now that I know that, I'll make sure to do so next time. Thanks!
