I'm just curious. I use it on one my sites and it works well. Easy to modify without crashing something else.

*If you don't know, it's the ecommerce extension.

Virtue Mart is great. Haven't used it, but I know people who do. I have heard only good things about it.

I'm about to install it on two different sites, in two different industries. I hope it goes well. I'll write a review when I'm done

If you are looking for something that is FREE, easy-to-setup, and opensource, Joomla & Virtuemart work great. I use the combo on all of my sites.

Gary, are you still working on your report?

I signed up for the report and it says you are still working on it. It has been 9 months since your post. So, if you are not planning on completing your report, please mention that here.

Also, I would also mention on your site's home page that the report is not already there. You make it sound like I will get it immediately and not after it's completed. This can be construed as a fraudulent technique of building a list without having anything to give out.

    Sincerely,
    Srini

I'm using VM1.1.13 and Joomla 1.5 but can't get any SEF Url's for the in VM listed categories or products.
Other than that, if you get the hang to it, it's a pretty good combination.
Some bugs and not the easiest for beginners to understand the coding but therefor it is for free and offers a lot for that "price".

Does anybody know a solution, except of sh-404SEF, which is available for a $35 yearly subscription fee, to create SEF Url's for VM?

Personally I like the Drupal/ubercart combination better. Seems to be more flexible with tons of different addons for additional functionality.

I agree with you but using VM needs some experience ;)
It has a few bugs if you are trying to use it just "out of the box". Some tweaking is necessary.
But other than that it's a great shopping cart system offering more than other ones you have to pay for.
