IE 8 is good MS is working on IE 9 to make it more better and faster, but compared to firefox and chrome, IE still lacks speed and Addons. FF is awesome and perfect..

IE9 will not be as good as any of the currently available modern browsers when it comes out. According to Microsoft's IEBlog, it won't have the features of today's Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Opera. It might even be a couple years behind where they are now.

IE8 slow? I don't think so. Try TCP-Z TCP Half Open Limited Patcher, then install IE7Pro with only the "Ad Blocker" and "FasterIE" modules and enjoy - as fast as Chrome (but without the ads) and takes less memory than Firefox.

Safari and Chrome are the fastest but I've always loved Firefox and I still think it's the best in terms of usability and reliability; there's tons of extensions which make it all the better. It's by no means slow, so I've gotta say Firefox.

Chrome is actually pretty darn good. For me, its faster than most other browsers I've used. But still, nothing beats firefox's overall ease of use.
