    Hello,

I've run a vbulletin forum, just like digitalpoint, mobile phones related.
I have about 10.000 page impressions daily, for adsense.
Adsense is in the best place, where visitors can't miss it.
I have good content, and have changed recently the colours and ad format in order to increase my earnings and my CTR.
Although, i really can't get a better CTR than 0,7% / 0,9%, which is really really low, comparing to websites i see getting 10% / 12 % and 15% CTR.....

I'd like to ask for some guidelines in order to increase my CTR and earnings.
    Thank you alll

On forums it's always very low ctr because one visitors displays a lot of pages, so you have a lot of ad impressions, but one visitor will click only once, and if the visitor is a regular user of your forum then he will click even less.
Try to put ads within the posts.

It's all about user intentions. Why would you expect high click through from a Forum?

Yeah i know, i have 10k/day but just for first time visitors, ads are not displayed to registered users due reason you said earlier....

I've optimized colours and got a little high in the CTR, but not more than 0,9 ever....

Forums generally have low CTR. Why don't you try some CPM? (you get paid for impressions :) )

I was thinking earlier about that, but can't find any CPM program in my language (portuguese), only CPC.
With adsense i have monthly about 230k/250k impressions and about $100/$150 earnings.
Running a vbulletin forum, is there any other better option?

You should put ads in a way that it attracts your visitors.

Generally, visitors don’t like ads. So you got to make the ads looking like part of the site content.

Blend the ads to the content.

There are many optimization techniques from Google support page to know more about which part of a webpage/which type of ad unit performs better than the other. Consider those valuable points too.
