This was one of the first thoughts that struck me too Webby.But one question,why is this effect restricted to Mahim alone,and not other areas.And if this is the case,why hasn't this thing been reported in the past.Bombay and Gujarat receive quite heavy rains every monsoon,so why did this happen only now As for the chaps drinking it ,they think it will cure them of their diseases Hopefully there will not be any adverse effects of it.
They shouldn't drink that. God knows what is there in that water. Industrial waste or maybe a whale ejaculated some gallons of sperms Ha Ha. But that's unobvious. Whale in a sea Anyway, i still recommend to drink that water only after laboratory tests. To be on the safer side
Normal sea water and fresh water have different volumic density and Ph level. so it makes it difficult to dilute with each other, they do dilute but it takes a great amount of time(few years)... So normaly fresh water makes a steady stream flow in sea until it completely diluted with normal sea water. its just that, that fresh water stream covered Mahim and other areas. An IR Sat image will show the diffrense between Normal sea water and fresh water, as the temprature of both are different. you test it by a very easy home experiment- Take a half filled glass of water and pour salt in it (plenty of salt)...when it comes to near saturation level then pour fresh water in it slowly (better with the help of glass stick) and you will clearly see difference between both liquids... Well because no one was fool enough to taste the sea water before?? Like take the example of Ganesha drinking milk. if you try to *feed* even a dry rock it will *Drink* due to the surface tension, but when someone tried it first time, it caused the chaos.. The same happend here. First time soneone tried and drank Sea water and found it not so salty. Moronic religious people linked it with religious beliefs and started drinking that poisonous water.....
