Do we really have to continue to listen to this hateful and disgusting language? That's twice now.

    Strawman -- sad attempt

    How ironic.

    again?

OK Mr.Ignorant show us all these murders that your cousins in the KKK get away with? North Idaho use to have a neo-nazi group that lived there and as long as the laws weren't broken they stayed, guess what - they did attack someone because of color and now mr.butler (is he related to you?) no longer has a place to live ... boo-hooo

We also have guys like jesse jackson who is racist and as long as he doesn't break the law he gets to keep his freedom of speech. He gets busted for other things, but hasn't killed someone who isn't black yet.

Oh your asking me, the one who's using that language to show infantile your comparison is? but you defend the right for the KKK to use it whenever they like - That's odd, did you report the posts:rolleyes:

    Are you displaying false anger?

Funnily enough as much as I'm against racism, I would not restrict the KKK's right to speak about the imbecilic points of view, same with the BNP.

Unlike some republicans who believe if anyone criticizes the president or the "war on terror" they should be in Gitmo indefinitely as they are unpatriotic/terrorists. (These very same people (republicans) aka "unpatriotic/terrorists" are now calling Obama)

Your comparison tends to lead someone to believe saying the "president sucks" is somehow as wrong as racism (which is what the KKK spouts), but they both have the "right" to freedom of speech.

Normal people would not even make any comparison between the two.

No, you are doing it because you are upset and lack tact. For as much as you have been using it over here, it begs the question if its not part of your regular vocabulary.

For as much as you claim not to be, reading your posts suggests otherwise.

I have black family members whom I love, I'm not a redneck American like some who post here.

    Thank you for your concern.

As do I. But I'm not sure my niece would appreciate me saying the N word so vocally in an open forum on the internet.

Rednecks tend to do that ;)

So you have a black niece like me?

Then why do you compare a citizen saying the "president sucks" to the KKK saying racist things?

Do you not see a difference? just admit that it was a daft comparison ;)

I think it is just the normal brainwashing and self talk that leads so many to just say that all republicans or conservatives are somehow racist. It is so common these days, maybe some are still mad about losing the fight of segregation and are not comfortable with those with darker skin than they have. Mix that with an inherited guilt about their family owning slaves.

I can't imagine living with the hatred and guilt associated with racism, it seems that it controls their lives. I would imagine they have no peace. There is so much freedom in viewing all humans as equals. People are people with so many beautiful variations, like art - I can't imagine if we were all one shade of color, that would be boring.

Why, should it matter? It's not going to change my opinion or make me think any more or less of her.

Hustler Magazine, Inc. v. Jerry Falwell

    http://www.bc.edu/bc_org/avp/cas/comm/free_speech/hustler.html

    Specifically:

"[T]he fact that society may find speech offensive is not a sufficient reason for suppressing it. Indeed, if it is the speaker's opinion that gives offense, that con sequence is a reason for according it constitutional protection. [56] For it is a central tenet of the First Amendment that the government must remain neutral in the marketplace of ideas." Id., at 745-746."

Are you a citizen of the US? If not, I can understand why you are confused. If you are, I'd suggest reading the Constitution. Then take a look at the relevant case law that has tested the First Amendment time and time again.

You do also realize that brave men and women here at home and abroad fight daily to protect these rights? Even for those we may not necessarily like or agree with. Freedom's a two way street young man. If it were freedom of Popular Speech, I could understand your position. But it is not. Its Freedom of Speech. And speech that is offensive, while not popular, is still speech and protected equally under our Constitution.

Anyway, I am assuming you are probably from another country and am gonna let all this BS slide as a result so we do not waste anymore time on this subject.

What? Che, was a radical left-winger. The people with Che shirts voted for Obama. Right wingers are definitely not anarchists, that's absolutely absurd. Most of them support a government equal in size to the kind leftists want, it's just in different areas. Some want less government, but none of them are like what you're saying.

It doesn't matter, where did I say it does matter? Didn't I say to you; I also have a black or rather mixed niece?

Are you trying to pretend there's racism? in saying that:confused:

Which proves what there's free speech? when was free speech in question in this thread?

You ought to be aware that the KKK are not as you say "harmless", that was point 1.

Nor is saying the "president sucks" in the same category as racism, point 2

Claiming both things above makes you look racist, simply because it's "so far out there".

Nobody is taking issue with the constitution, or freedom of speech.

I'm not confused that is you, nobody is challenging free speech.

What is being challenged is you saying the KKK is harmless (I hope you don't have any KKK friends and let them baby sit your black niece), and also you comparing racist KKK rhetoric to criticizing the president (which is normal).

How come you cannot get the message no matter how many times it is written? Do you have problems upstairs?

Yes, people have fought for 'freedoms' (just not ATM) whilst Americans have theirs restricted at home by an enemy from within.

So, Jesse Jackson is equivalent to Neo-Nazis and KKK?

From my understanding, Jesse Jackson is not a white supremacist, nor a fan of the KKK nor Neo-Nazis.

How he comes to mind when speaking of racism demonstrates a complete misunderstanding of the man or the definition.

So now you're going to use an innocent child to defend posting racist slurs.

Either you're a foreigner or a coward. I haven't figured out which one yet.

Jesse Jackson, like several other black preachers, creates more problems for the plight of black people in America than he solves. More of an asshole than a racist, but he certainly doesn't like whitey. Black people would do much better to listen to the words of people like Bill Cosby than idiots like Rev. Jackson.

Not all racists are white, that is extremely ignorant to even suggest that. Also see the example below, let me know if you see anything racist in jesse jackson's remark.
