Hi, this is something very puzzling to me. I've seen several times that some keywords which actually show up on #3 position in google search results for a week. Then the following week when I check again it gone to ... not even in top 10 pages. What happened?

    Thanks for your insight.

Probably he bought links, and they expire, or bought backlinks,,,

This happens with Google. Just wait and see. This is most common with new domains.

Nope, no backlinks purchased ... so that should not be the reason. Thanks though.

sometimes new sites with decent content and a little link building activities will rank on the top quick due to freshness factor. that initial ranking however never lasts and soon the site will keep falling behind in ranking. this is where the link building activities come into play. with proper link building, the site will come back up and maintain a stable ranking over time

The initial spurt of backlinks can increase your SERPs. They get removed from the rankings.

That is normal to new websites. Google gives them opportunity to optimize the new website that is indexed for a week or two then after that your website will go down if not optimized properly. Don't stop optimizing your website, because SEO is a continuous process and there is no end to it.

This usually happens. Google SERP Algorithm provides latest articles on top. If your post is not healthy, then your postion also will not be healthy as it may fall down. So all you need is some Permanent High Quality links to keep stable in the Top positions.
