I believe 110mb.com, awardspace.com and byethost.com are free with no forced ads.

Note that you can keep your domains at GoDaddy and have your hosting elsewhere.

do i have to have an extended url?

for example if my site is taktion.com, and yours is example.com, do i have to make it www.taktion.example.com?

I would recommend keeping your domain and web space separate. So why not leave your domain at GD and get a free web hosting service elsewhere? All you have to do is get the info from the web host (like nameservers) and go to the control panel at your domain registrar and type them in. Allow 24-48 hours, usually it takes less, and by typing your domain name you'll end up at your web space, with all your pages and website.

Keeping them separate obeys to the same principle, don't leave all your eggs in the same basket...

If something goes wrong with one of the two, changes are more easily manageable.

Exactly what you need. All you have to do is change your nameservers to whatever free web host you end up using and you will have your www.yourdomain.com

Better to pay for hosting, these free hosting services don't last long.
