create a new category called "gateway" (or whatever you like) then put all the posts you want the cpalead gateway to appear on into that category. In the settings for cpalead plugin put the name of the category into the left hand box and your widget code snippet into the right hand box

So i was a publisher since medio 2008, and i would like to share my experience with CPAlead with the rest of this forum since they ripped me off quite bad.

    A little info beforehand :

I have a anime streaming site since April 2008 on which i used CPALead fom August 2008 till 2 months ago.. All was good, i earned a decent amount of money trough them, never had any problems..
I decided to fiddle around with a second site with more mature content in it (manga) and put cpalead on there too. So far no problems.

Last December i was contacted trough MSN by Jeremy, asking if i was allright and if i needed any assistance. Nice of them to pro actively help their publishers so i thought.

Everything was going good, i neglected both sites so i just thought of this CPAlead account as a savings account, i never let them pay me out. In September 2009 i had about $2100 in my account waiting for me to withdraw, i thought this christmas was a good time..

All of a sudden i got this email in the beginng of September '09 saying i was suspended, no explaination of what i did wrong or any warning was recieved before this.. So i contacted my account manager (Jeremy) and well the following emails should explain it all, it's a long read but definitely worth reading if you think you can trust CPALead with your money. Nothing has been edited or dramatized.

As you can see i tried to be nice and gentle every time i sent an email, but still to this day i didn't get any response back from any of them.. I did try to contact them trough AIM, i even asked Corey from Sales to leave them a note on the desk in case they didn't check their email in a month ( yeah right?? )..

As you can see i have been trying to get the money i earned for over 3 months, they seem to be avoiding me on all costs.

I hope i am the only one getting treated like this cause this is just not the way such company's should treat their publishers, as we are the ones making them money and we should be able to trust them with our earnings.. But it seems we can't..

I'd like to clarify again that i did never recieve any warning or whatsoever before my account was suspended, i never recieved a Penny from them.

Just my 2 cents, good luck..

If you run adult content or any pornographic material with CPALead, your account is not safe.

We will revoke your earnings and terminate your account. I am glad you posted this for everyone to see, this is an example of what we will do to you.

When publishers take advantage of our Widgets and post pornographic material it strains and ruins our relationships with our advertisers. Usually when we find out about someone monetizing an adult site with our Widget, it is through an advertiser reversing money on us for doing so.

You guys never hear about the reversals, since we have been paying-in-full for any losses for the last 6 months. Sometimes when you see advertisers disappear, it's because of publishers like this one.

    Hello CpaleadTroy,

I signed up as a publisher for CPALead a week ago. I didn't receive any correspondence. I tried logging in and was asked to contact an id which i did and I'm yet to hear a response from them.

I have some real good plans to monetize the network of sites with the Premium content widget.

I request you to kindly reconsider my application and approve me into the publisher program if deemed fit.

    Thanks!:)

You keep on talking about 'pornographic content', like i explained in the mails it was just a testsite with the video's broken on it. The site recieved maybe 2 hits a day and good luck finding anything that works. I didn't make 2k on that site.

Besides that how come you guys even asked about my sites on msn and how i was doing last year ( the site was already online at that time ). I never agreed on anything when making my gateway, as it was mailed to me by Jeremy himself ..

I find it funny you can answer my questions now when i went public with it, fact still is you have to give publishers warnings like stated in your agreement, which you never did.

It's sad all these so called company's can revoke (steal) your earnings without any decent reason whatsoever. This makes it hard for us publishers to count on anything, it's like a casino, you can only gamble and hope for the best.

But yeah i guess it's normal to not react to a client for over a month, while he earns you your bread.

    Nice company ;)

I dont understand why people agree to terms and conditions if they dont actually agree to them. Then when it all goes wrong its not their fault.

You state here that you did have porn or similair and then complain when you are revoked.

Simple method to avoid this - DO NOT DO PORN.

To be fair if I was an advertiser selling coca cola and I saw one of my surveys on a porn site my ad would be withdrawn immediately as I would not want that kind off association.

    I wasn't ;)

    They are cartoons.

And it's not about a porn or not-to-porn discussion.. More like a i-just-ignore-the-client-and-keep-his-money-allthough-i-promised-to-answer-him discussion.

It's better than getting banned from Adsense, having no idea why you were banned.

At least CPALead has told you exactly what you've done wrong, regardless of whether you think it's pornographic or not, it's intended for a mature audience, which nullifies the CPALead T&C. You wouldn't show that to children, would you?

Here's what you get when you create a Widget... try reading the Warning, in RED at the bottom.

Anyone who doesn't understand that Hentai is pornographic probably wouldn't understand to read the TOS when joining Cpalead anyway. The "no porn" rule has been there right from the beginning, so there's no point in trying to justify your actions once you've been caught. They took a loss and you took a loss for your actions in breaking the rules, so everyone lost. Lesson learned.

Pleading ignorance of the rules is no excuse. READ the TOS before joining ANYTHING online.
