Possibly you can make $500 per month. But needs traffic from highly targeted traffic from good niche. ________________ Tech Buzz
One of my sites has either got really bad optimization... a really bad niche... or both. So far in November, the site has had 415,279 Page impressions and has made less than $100 If I could optimize the ads so the CTR went to 1%, then it would have made 10x that Time to start thinking about Ad placement seriously. Cheers James
You can try CPM ads..and popups..they will surely ad few hundred dollars.. You can triple your income..
Milestogo: VEERRY close....actually $120 but what I omitted was the <meta name="keywords" content="MY KEYWORDS!"> tag and just added alot of them and will see if all of that helps. I may add a 728X90 horizontal banner atvery top of my page in sig. THANKS...this info coming from the various comments is more than interesting.
Only Impressions are not enough to make a guess.... but still i think you would have made around $250
Sorry Zeewagar....to my sadness, much less at the aforementioned $120 which is relatively PATHEIC and am not sure what the AdSense business model really is. I mean, I have applied IN DEPTH SEO techniques, optimized to the max....seeked out best keywording, experimented with ad sizes, numbers of ads on a page, page color, blending and so much more.... It just seems that this AdSense isn't what it is all hyped up to be and truth-be-told, you have these so-called "big sellers" like Shomoney and all those others but I am absolutely certain they are not making what we read all about . Honestly, would you really be hearing about them, if they did? In essence, sleeping giants never speak, and those that do (like those we know) all SELL SOMETHING to get us hyped up. In any case, I am not sure what else to do....I'm pretty much burned out....
dinrock: assuming the site you are talking about is the one in your sig, I suspect that one of your problems is that the nature of your site makes it less likely that people will be interested in the ads and click on them. Here's an example: If I go to the "Cartoons about Psychiatry" page, most of the ads are selling the services of psychiatrists. I think it's unlikely that someone looking for that kind of a cartoon is looking for a psychiatrist himself. Some of your other categories probably provide ads more relevant to the casual browser (e.g. "Hunting"). But the real problem is that people who end up on your site are probably looking for cartoons, and aren't interested in the things the ads are advertising. If you did get "relevant" ads for other people selling custom comics, you would be possibly losing customers to your competitors. That's one of the problems of putting Adsense on sites primarily meant to sell your own goods and services. That's my guess anyway.
It depends on your niche and placements mostly. But for every 10,000 impressions, I get around $40. So that must mean, for 50,000 you should be getting around $200?
Thank you VccMatey . . . you are extremely close....as mentioned, just over $120 so you're pretty close. Good supposition! Nonny: GREAT POINTS all around! Is there a specific tweak in my AdSense account so ads that appear on specific pages will pertain to that kind of content? I mean for EACH page? This affitiliate program is NOT EASY as opposed to what many say or those who sign up and actually think it will be. It is hard to implement, and tweak and get working right. NOTHING IS EASY!
Nonny: Here's a thought....what if you make "custom" ads for each page. And then you name that ad, use keywords pertaining to the content of that page? Or?
You can try 728*90 ad unit..but my suggestion is to add 300*250 ad unit near content to the right. Your CTR will surely increase.
RahulBuzz: When you say "content to the right"....curious, you mean content underneath the cartoon< Not the color one but the black & white? Or?
