Really? Are you sure about that? I guess so but I think I'm updating my blog posts now. As for the one who question about getting "spidered", it's pretty simple. Just remove all of the "rel=nofollow" texts in the HTML mode of your blog. For Blogger users, just click "Edit HTML". Cheers!
How does rel=nofollow negatively affect the site that posts links that contain that? Please explain, thanks!
My Blog is and domain name are very very young Google Awarded my a page rank of 2 within 6 weeks...even cited on the Google Toolbar All I did was write my own content, and people found me...I thought it was weird...I wasn't trying to build any page rank or anything...the blog on my sig is just a hobby...I am happy Google noticed me though.
rel=nofollow means search spiders are instructed to not follow the link...of course if you have links elsewhere on the web, then it could still be indexed. the rel=nofollow thing is used primarily to prevent links from giving pagerank.
"Rel=nofollow" will only preventing you to increase your rank but will only guarantee you traffic. The higher your page rank is, your site's value will be higher as well, and more customers will come to inquire anything on your site like paid links, paid posts, etc. That's a good benefit only if your site is do-follow like mine.
This may be because you will have all original content on your blog and google has recently updated the PR and obviously it has counted your previous work for weeks before.
Google page rank is based on the sites linkiing to your blog. I managed a PR3 on my very new blog because a PR5 site gave me a link. Check who is linking to your blog, bet someone with a high PR likes your work. Acorn
Good one!!! Anyway, Congrats blogartkick!! Can't believe you didn't do anything to get a PR3. Some people work their head off building good backlinks and still aren't able to achieve that.
R u sure your post in do follow blog bcz i dnt know how to check it... do you know how to check do follow or no follow
PR 3 is not easy. I think many people giving backlink to your site without your knowledge. Check the backlinks.
I checked my backlinks and it has a total of 591...almost at 600th! I'm still keeping this up and updating this for good. Cheers!
If you are having that much backlinks it is obvious to get a PR2 or PR3. Why you are wondering for the achievement?
I don't know but I just did my job, updating my blog after an absence of more than a month and to blog comment with other do-follow blogs that's all.
I checked your blog. I don't know on what basis you're saying that your blog is "do follow". I found it to be "no follow" blog like most others. See, the following HTML code from one of your recent posts which shows "nofollow" link in comments: <span dir="ltr"><a href="http://www.danlew.com" rel="nofollow" onclick="">Daniel Lew</a></span> said...</dt> <dd><p>Unbelievable score man! You're as good as Lebron James and Kobe Bryant in arcade shooting. It's cool that I want to score just like that.<br /><br />Thanks!</p> <p class="comment-timestamp">November 17, 2009 11:43 PM</p>
What? Are you sure. I use the NoDoFollow Firefox plugin now and it's one of the most trusted SEO tools I ever have. I checked it again and it has a blue highlight which is considered "do-follow". Do you mean to say the NoDoFollow plugin is a false? Ah I get it, his site is no-follow I guess as i double checked.
Yes, I've checked it from your own site. It is NoFollow. That's why I had quoted relevant part of the HTML code from one of your own pages that shows a comment of Nov. 17, 2009. You can check it yourself, since I had reproduced it in my previous post. Thanks.
