hey guys, does anyone know if affiliate companies know what countries traffic is coming to the website where they advertise or do they only track what countries clicks are coming from?
Why would they care? What benefit would there be to tracking anything that doesn't directly affect them? Take a bit of time to read about MAC Addresses and IP Addresses. There is no such thing as anonymity online.
I know about IP addresses and their geo locations and track my visitors daily through Google Analytics. You seem experienced on the subject. May I ask you this: If you place ads that advertise US companies on your US based web site but besides US visitors you also have visitors from UK, Canada and Europe do affiliates care? What if clicks are coming from UK, Canada, Europe..in this case would affiliates lower their CPC rates?
