Trying to test the AdSense aficionados out there and on average . . . what do you think this amount (52K page impressionas) have earned so far in November?
OK, here's my guess: 52000 impressions 2% click through rate = 1,040 clicks average of 25 cents per click = 260 dollars Of course that's going to vary a lot. My understanding is that typical CTR is 1%-5%, and 25 cents per click is a decent amount, but that is going to vary even more than the CTR.
Nonny: I don't know, but am I allowed to post my actual monthly earnings here? I am asking so it doesn't go against DP TOS and realize that they don't like account stats posted but would I be violating if I posted my monthly earnings on this? Thanks for that input....I liked your chart....I WISH those were what I was getting!
dinrock, I'm sure that's against absence tos, and if you're not gettin' 'about that' then you should maybe move your ads or change the colors to match your site better.
Hi SwiftNomad: Well, I've changed colors, moved ads around, tried only a white background , tried different ad sizes, tried different numbers of ads on the site(s) i.e. 1 text ad, then 2 and 3 max....then one text and one set of link units, tried strictly text ads....then switched to text/image ads.....I mean, it goes ON and ON and ON and . . . . . . . . . . .
as your page views increase, your impressions will increase, thus it will also increase your adsense clicks
BtwZgerm: See site in my sig....and NO, I deleted the <meta keyword> tag....as you know, the search engines don't use em....is my ad in the right spot btw?
Whats the most common keyword used in determining the type of ads displayed on the site? In other words, what's the website niche? How can anyone tell exactly? You can only speculate here. With 52K monthly hits the site will earn between $100 to $300, depending on CTR and niche.
The search engines DO use the meta keywords tag, especially Google. The question is how much weight do they put on it... not much.
You should tell how many uniques you got? No wonder you will get many page impressions. I visited 10 pages...cartoons are funny and interesting. My few friends reads toons for hours. ------------------- Antivirus Blog
You are allowed to post your earnings. You just aren't supposed to share "proprietary" information like eCPM or CTR. And I should say that that was a pretty optimistic calculation - it's not at all uncommon to have a 1% (or less) CTR and only get a few cents a click.
I have given an exaggerated guess. My sites receive 71,000 hits a month. I make about $30. It's nothing.
So many variables. Ad size, placement, # of ads per page, demographics, niche, competition between advertisers, etc. etc. etc. Example: I have one site that is a blog that has ads in a competitive niche. Ads are placed really well and are medium rectangles (300x250) so my CTR is pretty good and my CPCs are high (because of the niche and advertiser competition) which all leads to good eCPMs. Problem is that my impression volume is relatively low. On the other hand I have another site that has a TON of impressions per month... millions. Unfortunately many impressions are on the forum, ads aren't obtrusive (so = low CTR) and the niche has little competition from advertisers. Low CTR, low CPCs = low eCPM If I could take the eCPM from my first site and the volume of impressions from the second site I'd be buying Bill Gates dinner!
mine till now are 300,000 impression and i complete $XXX today 52K is very low.. you should increase moretraffic
Ye, if you can up anything...like eCPM or CPC or traffic..You will make money but if you have less eCPM, less CPC, less Traffic then no use.. ------------ Tech Buzz
Hey nice dude how does you does that can u suggest me some points how to get more traffic to mine website just tell me main points i will follow them i will be thankful to you if you PM me !!!
52,000 is a decent traffic. If you have good ad placements then you can achieve about $500 monthly. I have only 20,000 impressions a month but i earn a little less than that..
20k impressions at $500 a month?!? That's a $25 eCPM... are you from 1999 (last time I honestly saw eCPMs like that)? Good for you if you're able to get that eCPM consistently! If I had that on my main site I'd buy a few small countries in Europe.
