    Hi,

I'm building a site in wordpress for a client and he already has an existing site.

Is it better to create a subdomain on one of my domains (cliientsite.mydomain.com) or is it just the same if the site is built in a folder of one of my existing domains (mysite.com/clientsite)?

I'm wondering which one will be wasier when its time to move the site over.

    Thanks in advance.

A subdomain is always a better option to use as it will increase the SEO rate.

Thanks, but SEO isn't what I'm concerned about here.

I'm trying to determine which one will make it easier when I'm finished building the site and ready to move it over to the cilents server.

it's the same thing, if you create subdomain, it will also create a folder in your root folder.

Matt Cutts said eons ago that's moot now as Google sees both as equal.

Honest answer: I would set up the clients domain to be one local to your own computer and develop the site locally. Use something like XAMPP if you don;t have a local server. That way you don;t have to worry about changing the urls afterwards when you move the site to the new location.

    Hope this helps,
