OK, I like to eat out at nice restaurants. I like to spend money on all the extras, drinks, dessert, after dinner drink, dessert drink, etc - I end up spending a decent amount of money and one thing I do is tip very well but... My lady just got on to me about tipping the delivery guy - she said I was being a cheap tipper, was 2 to 4 bucks cheap? - I tipped the pizza guy 2 bucks tonight and last night, I tipped the chinese take out kid 4 bucks - not that he was better, all I had on me in cash tonight was 2 bucks. Well, she said I was being a cheap tipper - the way I see it, I am not getting great service, he is not pouring my Merlot for me, he's just delivering a box full of carbs - and he gets paid better for doing that than your average waitress at Chili's Your thoughts on this?
I'm agreeing with you on this. When you're in a restaurant and the boy/girl who serves you the hole evening is kind it's nice to leave some money for him/her. But a pizza guy gets paid for doing his job. If it's 9$ and it's 10$ I understand you can leave that 1$ but in fact he gets paid enough. And he didn't do that much except driving -- which is his job. Do you get paid for any extras in your job? I'm not but I'm getting paid from my boss which makes me happy enough
Tip is bad deal if i didn't pay tip for the delivery guy, what suppose he do add something bad to pizza or get late in delivery what i believe there are no good seller everything included in yr bill but if delivery pizza was a girl that's different (you will like this statement Project Mobius) it will depend o n her elegant .................... kiddddding
I usually do $2 and the coin change rounded up to the next $. Delivery guys/gals get paid far better than an inside server. Hence I tip less. They also get a per pizza or per delivery payment and they should because they use their car, gas and hopefully insurance. Now I have to be just plain bad. Raed said: Do you really want to know what he might do to your pizza before delivery next time? Spitting on it is the least of your problems.
Pizza Tiplist (based on a $20 of products) Ugly Guy = $1.50 Normal guy = $2 Teen male with Civic = $1 Ugly girl at 18 to 65yrs old= $2 Fairly cute girl at 18 to 21yrs old=$4 Really smoking hot girl at 18 to 29yrs old= $4 Any gender at 30 to 60yrs old= $2 Print it
How many times have you had a cute girl deliver you pizza? I'm guessing not very often, if at all. You shouldn't feel obliged to tip. They get paid for the work. And to the poster who mentioned petrol expenses, that is factored into their wages. @Project Mobius - I am shocked you are married. You come across as a big kid in your posts.

i agreed with you incase the delivery will gonnna use his own vehicle or other or if he/she got this work without salary , but what i am not agree is cheating just assuem once time you don't have much money to pay tip , thats mean the next time you place pizza order you will get pizza with extra layer of spitting
Delivered pizza is one of the few things I still write a check for so I always have the right amount. To be real honest most times I cook a Red Baron from the freezer for 1/5th the price and 1/2 the time. Those I buy in bulk when they are on sale at about $3 each. Had one tonight since the wife went out with friends for dinner. Every now and then I make a pan pizza from scratch. You have to start making the dough a couple of hours before you want to eat.
My spouse was previously a pizza delivery guy and he said about $3 is a good tip. It also depends on how many pizza's your order too.
If I pay by cash, usually the coins and a buck. If I pay by CC, then nothing cause if I had the cash I wouldn't of charged it.
