About directory submission.

Hi all,

I want to know that now we should submit directory submission , because i read a article that now there is no importance of directory submission.

 

See... rules for directory submission has changed:

rule 1
If you want backlinks then you cant get with this and dont submit

rule 2
If you want instant traffic increase for your site - submit to directories

Choose from these two rules

directory submission is not so important but is a good step to start for a new website

 

Theres only a few paid directories that will help you,yahoo and botw are the ones i know of,there may be more but most directories are worthless and does not help you at all.If you are going to submit to directories don't waste your money, make sure there free.

 

there are really good directories and there are really bad ones you'll learn as you go from experience which ones are cool....

 

I disagree with these when I do a competitor analysis I notice that the backlinks of my competitor is almost came from paid directory and it is a niche paid drectory. If you have a money try niche paid directory otherwise use free directory

 

Directory submission can be a source of backlinks when the directories are indexed by google and ranked also. But most directories today are being overused and overpopulated with any-and-all links. Because directory maintanence has gone into paid mode and for entry one has to pay.

 

I prefer upto 100 directory submission. I have the list of directories (which is good in pr, Pr3 and above). If you submit your sites in bad directories, it is a time waste.

Directory submission is good to generate traffic. But make sure that the directories, where you are submitting your link must be of good PR otherwise in can't help you. Moreover if it is do follow as well then you can get back links too.

"Instant traffic" from directories? Don't hold your breath.

 

I think still there is some importance of directory submission as there are some quality directories which are useful for gaining backlinks as well as traffic too. You need to choose those directories and then try to submit. Don't go for quantity submissions. Just take some good source of quality directories which are still helpful.

I disagree. I believe everything that can give your site a little help in seo is very essential factor for your site to rank. If your competitor does not make any directory submission and the only way to outrank him is through this then do it...you outsmart him as well.

Directory submission part of Offsite SEO. now a days search engine give importance PR directory. If it will be used with PR then good for website, PR need for website keyword ranking.

Hi,zenalisha here, i think directory submission is a better way for SEO techniques and u can increase the serp of any site using this but u have to use some relevant sites for directory submission.

A small fraction of one percent of my total traffic comes from directories, and I've submitted to thousands of them (for the keyword-rich backlinks, not for traffic).
