I read about Alexa but i want to learn more about Alexa. So please tell me that what is Alexa and and what is the benefit from Alexa.

 

Alexa is a site from where you get the information of any site and their status. Their ranking , about traffic , etc. Tell you the top most sites of the world. Just go to Alexa.com. From Alexa you will get the rank of your site, traffic rank etc compare to all the sites in the world

 

alexa is a website or you can say a online tool from where you can find all the info about website like traffic rank, page per visit, rank per country , keywords, back links and many more just try it.

alexa shows us the rank according to the traffic.

 

is alexa accurate? i have heard that it is bullcrap

 

I'd like to know how it's calculated.

I've seen websites with 2-3x more traffic then me and have a rating of 2million+, my personal blog is in top 400k and gets about 700 visitors a month so its either inaccurate or there is a lot more going on behind how the ranking is calculated.

 

you will get the information of any site like site traffic stats, click streams, contact info, page views, reviews, related links, search keywords...etc.

 

the rank is based on how many people who have the alexa toolbar installed visit ur site. so the site with a lot of traffic but, 2mil+ traffic rank would probably have a lot of users who don't have the alexa toolbar. generally sites that are of interest to webmasters would rank high on alexa since webmasters are usually the people who would have the alexa toolbar installed.

Well, it's a big search engine type of website mainly known in our community for traffic rankings and all.

There is no benefit to Alexa, it can be easily manipulated.

If i understand alexa right...i can only compare the results form some other page with mine and therfore conclude how much traffic gets the other one....Is there a site that would calculated that automaticly?
