    I don't remember exactly, but when I had inquired for a new hard disk, there wasn't much price difference between the 250 GB and 320 GB disk.

    by paying 300-400 more, I was getting 70 GB more and so I decided to go for the 320 GB disk.

    these prices change every few days and may vary slightly from dealer to dealer.

    if your dealer is reliable, you shouldn't mind paying 100-200 extra.

    I think your hdd is not working properly

    remove old cables and try with new cables
