Well, I am not able to format my Hard drive of my PC.
I mean when I try installing windows, the boot screen doesn't comes.

Is there any process to enable booting ?

I have two different versions of XP loaded on C drive and D drive.

Last time I had to install windows by starting my PC and then clicking on G drive which is my DVD drive because i was not able to go in the boot screen during start up.

    Help me someone...

    aggred.. change the bios setting
either press delete button or f2 button repeatedly
until the bios system come up and then look for
    the boot priority
chnge it from boot from harddisk to boot from cd
    save and restart..
    now you can install it

I want to know if there are two OS on my two drives, then how can I format all the drives while installing new windows?

I will be doing it for 1st time.

Just remove your hard disk and plug it on your friend's PC and then format it from that PC . Its that simple. :)

There is a disk I have had for a few years from AccessData called WipeDisk. Google it. It is a bootable CD that can rewrite once or multiple times. Essentially it "zeroes" out every sector on the hard drive.

If you only format drive C, your both windows will be deleted. After you install your new windows at drive C, you can delete the windows files from drive d. easy and simple.
For boot problem follow the above mentioned procedure. Sometimes instead of pressing F2, it works with pressing Del to enter into the BIOS.

First thing you have to do is insert the Windows XP disk into the CD-ROM and reboot the machine. When the computer starts back up enter into your Setup screen and make sure that your BIOS is set to have your CD-ROM be your first boot up device.

Once you are out of the setup screen, a message will display “Press Any Key to Boot from CD” at this time do as the command says. Once you have pressed any key the computer will boot up from the CD-ROM. After several minutes, a message will come up on the screen asking to either install Windows XP, Repair Windows, or Exit.

Once you select your proper drive it ask if you would like to do a “Quick” or a “Full” format of the hard drive, and you will choose which ever you need at the time. Once this process is complete the drive is completed formatted and the bare minimum files for Windows are placed on the drive. That is one way to format your drive for a fresh Windows Install.

If the question is how to install 1 OS over the previous two - you can install it on one logical disk(C) deleting the revious OS on this disk and then manually delete the second one. If you really want to format your HDD(that's what i'd reccoment after using 2 OS) you need a boot disk, boot form it, run the format for all your logical drives and then proceed with the installation of a new OS. If you are making a boot CD yourself remember to put some sort of visual side to MS DOS if you are not used to console.

If you want to format your HDD then delete all the partitions and create partitions again.

First, backup everything. Insert the Windows Installation CD and boot from BIOS. Then delete all partitions. Create a new NTFS partition and clean install Windows.

Well to format the HD you boot the your pc and Delete all the drives completely.
In that case your Hard disk will become completely empty.
