Selling MMORPG Game - Ready to Go and Earn!

Hi all,

I am looking to sell off a site that i have had for over a year now and have never got running properly.

The site is a free text based mmorpg game that is based on Ghetto crime. Playing the game is free but there is a huge revenue potential here, with many games making between $100 - $1000 within the first month.

The script has been secured and modded to make sure that there is plenty to do for the players, keeping them interested and donations to the game.

The stock that you are selling is all digital goods, which is sent directly to the players account once their payment has cleared within your paypal account, so if someone pays by eCheck, they get to goods once the funds are actually in your account not before.

The best part about the site is that you are selling digital goods that are created automatically by the script, so you earn money while you sleep.

If you have the ability to market the game to get a good player base, you are looking at making $xxxx per month as long as you maintain a good presence on the site.

Running of the site is easy, with an easy to use admin panel and so many players who are looking to help you out by modding the site for you. You have the ability to make players staff without giving them full access to the admin panel so you keep the important things hidden from them.

The base script is mccodes v2 but the hacks and glitches within the original coding is a thing of the past, having placed hours/days into sorting them out.

The site has over 200 members registered at the moment but they have signed up on the understanding that they are playing a game that was not lie so now it has died off.

You have everything that you need to get this game running within 48 hours, if not sooner.

The domain is almost 2 years old now and has a PR2.

Domain is held at NameCheap.com so i will push there for free.

Anyway, 1250 is a lot of money to pay for a game with no players and no income.

 

Not really sure what this game is worth, but to the guy above me, design/integration and customization is worth money too. It's not JUST about traffic/income.

 

Yes, customization is worth a few extra bucks but not this much. Mccodes v2 sells for 300$ (unless you get one of those pirated copies that are floating around the interwebs) and I doubt this script has 950$ worth of mods in it. If it did, the OP would've pitched them in his post. As far as I can tell all that has been done to the original script were bug fixes. These may be worth 100-200$ tops but not 950$.

 

Well, design/integration is worth a bit. I'd say if the license is $300, then this whole thing should sell for $650-ish ($300+350 for design/integration). Then again, I didn't take a close look at it. I just saw it had a custom design...didn't login or anything

Just been told that the site is down due to server work been done, this will be sorted within the next few hours, i will extend the auction due to this downtime.

As for the guy claiming that the design, intergration and work that has gone into the site, obviously you have no idea about these sort of sites, the amount of work that goes into the creation of a game like this with fully custom images that you have the entire rights to means that the site is worth the asking price.

I have experience with coding games like this from scratch, with modifying existing scripts and with fixing security holes and bugs. I've purchased designs and artwork before and I know how much these cost. So don't talk down to me cause I know more about these things than you.

 

If you have no interest in the site and are not going to add anything worth while to the thread, do us all a favour and stop posting in it.

Just because I'm saying things you don't want to hear, it doesn't mean they aren't "worth while". You've been trying to sell this game for over 6 months and still haven't been able to do it. It's not because we're a tough crowd or because we're not interested in it. It's because it's WAY OVERPRICED. You couldn't sell the game when it had an income and now that it's dead you still won't be able to sell it unless you listen to me and stop being so greedy. I'm just trying to help, but it seems you won't have any of it.

Mate, you need to find out more about things before you comment. I see your points but even at $225 i am losing out on money.

 

just had a quick look at the game and after i logged in the header is centered and the rest of the game is off on the right hand side, this is using IE8 not tried in FF yet but will you support minor fixes like this if the game/site is purchased?

also i cant see anything in the stats in the top right, they are all empty is that correct?
