So I buy and sell cars on the side, and craigslist is my mainstay where I sell all my cars. I have a website I wanted to promote as well where I buy and sell product. So I posted 6 ads. Full HTML ads, in 6 metro cities in the US. Within 10 minutes, every ad was flagged, including all the cars I was selling (ads with no links). The HTML ads I made were really nice looking too. Not super spammy with buy buy buy, it was just a snapshot of my website basically in full HTML. Every post I make now is ghosted. So I'm wondering how I'm going to sell my cars since no one will see my ads. :\ Also run a couple ads for some local businesses too, like a body shop, an auto detailer, etc. None of those ads were ever flagged. but 6 little html ads screw my whole account?? Funny how I've been using craigslist for years, and the first time i post 6 measly ads I get f*cked. Am I screwed? I'm at a loss as to what to do.
Yeah - seems like you got a little greedy. Changing your IP address will help (or you can use software to do this) and then stick to posting actual ads about cars in the local market where they are being sold.
Duh, advertising will get you flagged from CL.... Maybe had you selected "dealer" you would not have been banned.
get new ips and move on. Also are you sure you are being ghosted all the time. You are placing ads not near your ip and clk has implemented geo blocking.

You can also use backpage.com - CL frowns on the cross posting. Here is their TOU (terms of use) once you're terminated: 13. TERMINATION OF SERVICE - http://www.craigslist.org/about/terms.of.use You agree that craigslist, in its sole discretion, has the right (but not the obligation) to delete or deactivate your account, block your email or IP address, or otherwise terminate your access to or use of the Service (or any part thereof), immediately and without notice, and remove and discard any Content within the Service, for any reason, including, without limitation, if craigslist believes that you have acted inconsistently with the letter or spirit of the TOU. Further, you agree that craigslist shall not be liable to you or any third-party for any termination of your access to the Service. Further, you agree not to attempt to use the Service after said termination. Sections 2, 4, 6 and 10-16 shall survive termination of the TOU.
