I have been looking to diversify my portfolio and have already dabbled in few things but nothing has made millions for me Have tried Adsense Clones of Job Sites Clones of traffic sites Clones of dating sites Celeb pictures websites Forums Free classified sites However the success has been minimal except in adsense. Most other niches are way too saturated or require gigantic effort and time...a risk I can not have. I am wondering what other ideas are floating around to set up an online business venture? Something like making websites for local small businesses, free yellow pages etc., selling specific business solutions to a specific niche industry, outsourcing? Please share your ideas for any online business venture that has potential to deliver over $1000/month and requires some effort and no more than $xxxx to start.
Money and whores? My god... Edit: Seriously, the best business idea is one that hasn't been thought of yet. From the things you've listed, you're doing diverse work already, just keep doing more of it. Maybe try making a unique site and not cloning it?
Making a unique site is not that easy my friend. I am more interested in knowing what kind of websites are raking in huge loads of money. Sean, I know adwords but am not sure if it can easily make more than 1K every month...please let me know if it can.
I don't have any ideas right now, but when I do, I'll be sure to put them into practice and then tell you how much I made. If a type of site is making a lot of money, it's because it's original or there is not much competition. If either is the case, then sharing the site's ideas/business model would only hurt the site's income. Trust me, if anyone has a good idea, they won't tell you. I've read a lot of threads about how to make money online and I can share with you some of the platitudes I've come across and hopefully you can make some money off them. 1. make a blog about something you're interested in and put ads on it 2. make a movie/tv series streaming site and put a gateway on it 3. tell people how much money you're making and then sell an ebook that expands on points 1. and 2.
what you are doing is okey. but additionally what you need is target marketing. use this technique it will increase traffic to your sites & increase revenue.
What you really should try to do is focus on one site at a time. Marketing and managing just a single blog, forum, social network, etc can be extremely difficult and requires an exceptional amount of work, so you put a lot of pressure on yourself when you start to run 3 or 4 different websites and need to market each and every one of them. Start 1 good website idea first, market it, make $$$ from it, and then use any extra money *after bills* to fund your next idea. This is the safest and smartest business model to use for internet marketing, and I highly suggest trying this.
All of the business models you listed are good and has very good potential of making big bucks. The only question is do you maximize the full potential of it? building and launching websites is just a small part of having a real business online. You really need to spend time and other resources to achieve the full potential of your business.

Excuse me, but i think you are too busy in chasing the dream of making lot's of money easily without working too hard. It sounds easy, but you must be consistent and focused all the way and push forward any business you try, nothing is as easy as dreaming. The supply and demand model is well known, the higher the demand is, the higher the potential to earn is. therefore, the supply growth (affiliates) will grow as well. I have recently wrote about the sports events niche which is not saturated in this thread. But even this will not help you if you are not willing to work hard and have patience. If you can't find something that will keep you motivated to work on and keep promoting, i would suggest that you will use your skills in a day job
Here is the best idea: Instead of thinking about how much money you can make, instead think about how you can provide a free service to others. Your generosity will get you noticed and people will respond to that. Then and only then will should you think about making any money off the site.

I did learn the hard way that finding/setting up/getting it off the gound is not the real tough part while using a clone, the meat of the matter lies in marketing it and that requires solid action plan, lots of resources and often money also By solid and uncommon business ideas I was looking for something like lets say start creating websites for small businesses, B2B solutions requiring software solutions, starting a very niche specific website, for example about Indian Restaurants all over the world which can allow anyone to find an indian restaurant anywhere in the world in seconds and so on.
