Peer Review of my site please

Well I have been slamming other peoples sites with my critical eye for design. So here is one of my sites for your review. Please don't be nice... tell me i can take it

In general I liked the site, especially your army guy.

Only saw a couple things...

A) The camouflage background is distracting to me. Perhaps either tone it down a bit or go to something different.

B) That big bluehost ad. UGH it takes away from your text content.

C) Load times are a bit slow.

I can second on that background is too intrusive.
Also top navigation looks too breadcrumbzy.

How slow? It should not be I have own VPS server? Where are you viewing from?

Looks okay. The colour scheme was a bit too overwelming with the army background. Headline needs to jump out and attract the attention as well so needs to be a bit bigger.

 

I will be making the few changes soon... right now i am stuck upgrading to windows7 and getting all my files and programs moved over to my new 64bit system i built... fun fun.... thank you for your input...

 

Site is good with it's design and style

I liked the site over all

A) You can improve the tones

B) Ads are getting more attention than text. Have you done it deliberately to get more revenue?

C)slow processing.

 

i dont like your back ground. it imples like this is related to army or defence services. i thin it shoul have to changes. then your content is not highlighting because of the background's contrast.

 

Above the fold is comfusing
Mixed fonts ....Pick one and stick with it
Text is hard to read ..needs to be bolder
Lead capture is perfect

 

I also don't like the background too busy and distracting

 

The camo background is not clean and VERY distracting. My interest is always in seo, so I'll give the lowdown on the seo side of things

Get more directory listings in the top directories. Build up your twitter following and twitter messaging of your site. Build up your diggs and build up the amount of links you have. Maybe go the educational approach and get links from .edu's or GET a .edu through the proper authority.

 

Your logo had some nasty pixelization around the letters.

i have something different opinion that you should change the size of your site page it lloks like blog page
