Britain hit by storm

I just checked MSN news and it says 'Britains hit by Storm'!

Below is the news...

The Environment Agency has placed 85 flood watches and 20 flood warnings around the country as Britain prepares for the worst storm of the year, with gale-force gusts and heavy rain predicted by forecasters.

Weather experts are advising those planning days out to postpone them and stay indoors as 80mph winds are expected that will be strong enough bring down trees.

There could be some let-up in the rain and winds on by the end of the weekend but the storm is due to give us another battering on Monday, posing the risk of disruption to the return to work after the weekend. There is also a risk of flooding in certain areas.

Stephen Davenport, of Meteogroup UK, said: "This is the strongest storm we have had this year but it is just an autumnal storm, not untypical for this time of year."

The storm is developing off the west coast of the country and is being fed by the still-warm autumn sea temperatures.

The AA urged drivers to take extra care on the roads in the difficult conditions and said dedicated Land Rovers would be on patrol in the worst-hit areas to help drivers stuck in flood water.

It is a horrible thing. I am in here and it is all pouring in rain and stormy! Can't even get out of the house in this climate or might catch the cold.

Trees have started to fall and areas have flooded.

Not a good sign anywhere.

its grim loads and laods of rain and the wind is mad and to make it worse the water main out side my house has decided to crack
