    Hi,

    What do you think about Spamming on directory? I am getting regularly. How can i stop them? Is there any report center where i can point out a domain that is doing spamming? I can't stop them by banning IP or banning domain :( They are randomly changing IP and domain.

    And what about a site that did not payed for submission?

    Thanks
    Shabu anower

    it's a big problem. I have some ideas on how to solve it that I am experimenting with.

    A simple solution is to delete all links associated with the email address of the submitter. If the submitter is from a submission service, then it will make sure the submitter only accepts jobs for decent sites.

    Adding image verification is another partial solution.

    I still get spam via paid links. Lots of hassle to refund the payment.

    I love spammers because they provide content, but they don't like to spam me. That sucks. Even though the site is on instant approval.

    @ Razvan
    Allthelink is a paid directory

    @LittleEarner
    They are not submitted any link for approval, just they are kidding with me :( already i enabled image verification and they are breaking that.

    May be I got some genuine information about a spammer, so i want to listed him as a spammer :)

    Funny you mention this. I also had one auto-submitter who seems to have found a way around image validation to submit 20 or 30 of his crap sites. I think the spammers will always stay one step ahead in the game. :(

    I know what you mean, Vegabond. The spammers do seem to have a way to submit several submissions at the same URL at one time. What I mean is, the spammer auto-submits say three submissions. All three are the exact same URL.

    I set his submissions to inactive to see if he can auto-submit them again with them still being in the index. Will let you know how it works out. Or you can let me know the next time he hits you. If he hasn't hit me as well, then we may have an answer.
