Google Webmasters Tools GOT another UPDATE !!

Discussion in 'Google' started by Patricianian, Nov 11, 2009.

    Hello DP'ers

Have just noticed another update in Google Webmasters Tools showing the most common keywords Google found when crawling your site.

Seems promising and by clicking on 'Show more keywords...' link at the bottom it will provide up to 200 Keywords with pages and count.

Have to say it's quite helpful for most of us, so what do you think ?

Log in to your Google Webmasters Tools account and check your sites ;)

    Good eye.

I really don't use the Webmaster Tools much but knowing some of the information can help you make your website more profitable.

Google has made an update to google webmasters
For example now you can see when your backlink was last found. My newest backlink is from Oct 29, 2009.

Yes, have noticed this as well. In comparison with Yahoo Site Explorer, I have found that Google are finding backlinks at a much faster rate. Definitely worth monitoring GWT more now.:D

Very nice find. What I find interesting about this is it appears that Google may be weiging the occurance of keywords not only on the page but across your entire site. If I am seeing this correctly it gives a new outlook on to how we optimise our top keywords.

Sorry to post again, But here is the just of what I am seeing. It seems that Google is saying that your top keywords should be spread throughout your site as I mentioned above.. This one sentence pretty much sais it all.

"Below are the most common keywords Google found when crawling your site. These should reflect the subject matter of your site."

    Interesting...

Yeah, i totally agree with you about this. and guess it's a good way to find what keywords needs to get spread more widely across the entire content of the whole site.

BTW, Thanks for the REP+ ;)

What should Significance mean ? If the significance is low then it means those words should not be omitted, right ?

Google has updated the Keywords user interface in Webmaster Tools. The update includes:

    Daily data updates
Details on how often specific keywords were found
Displaying up to 10 URLs that contain a keyword

    Appreciated :)

    You're welcome.

It depends on the keyword it self, if it's one of your targeted keywords then guess you might want to increase its density within your website content pages instep to increase it's overall significance values.

Would love to hear your comments to ;)
