I changed the font of sections of the text to make certain parts stand out....but by the time it is approved the text is no longer bolded. I'm a basic member, I have less then ten articles approved so far. Is that why? I sent them a message but thought I might get a quicker response here. Thanks
I know they have pretty strict guidelines about what you can do with your text. You certainly can't bold anything other than headers or something that truly needs to be bolded. If you are trying to bring attention to a specific section of your article, try italicizing. I believe this more appropriate.
Oh I didn't know that, thanks. I bought an ebook a while ago and it was suggested to highlight sections that you want to stand out (ie pick out most important points) so the reader doesn't have to read through the whole article and can skim through reading only the relevant parts, but it seems that's not possible.
Yeah, I think the only option you may have is to italicize, and even then, I'm not sure they would allow italicizing random sentences. Ideally, if someone wants to skim your article, they should be able to read the first and last sentence of every paragraph and be able to tell exactly what you are writing about. I did this throughout college when I was instructed to read long chapters.
Oh yes, EZA is quite strict with everything now days it seems. I haven't written for them now in a few weeks. I adhere to their guidelines, but they always pick something out that isn't right. The only think I ever bold is the first couple of words in a paragraph or numbers if I am doing an article like "5 tips to train your dog".
Their rule is "do not change the article". I did not expect you could change a thing after that! Including bold etc.
