I would like to know if having two backlinks from same page to 2 urls gives each link its PR juice and doesn't ignore second backlink? Example would be author's resource box in article. I place 2 backlinks, each pointing to different url. Does Google give PR juice to both links? Does it divide PR juice between 2? Or does it give PR juice only to 1st and ignores 2nd? Thanks.
Should get split actually. It depends on a few things like how many other links are outbound on the page etc. It won't hurt hope that helps, Nigel
It will split it - but if there's only two of them - don't worry about it. When you should worry is when you have a bunch of links on the same page.
I think it works this way only. But what ideally should happen is the search engine should not worry about link juice, pr juice, etc. what must get rewarded is the contributory effort and quality text that has gone into making the corresponding piece of text. For example, even on a nofollow blog, if the quality of a comment is good, then naturally that corresponding link must be given higher weightage.
Yeah, i agree with Traffic-Bug, if you leave good quality comment, then you get high weightage even if they are no-follow, just you can't get the link juice, but you can get the backlink from the page!
