you can, but be careful. In the UK it is a criminal offense to open an account using made up details. Not sure if you can put yourself up twice or more though.

I have 2 different accounts. One is my personal account and one is for the company I work for. Nothing nefarious going on.

You can only have one main personal account, but within that account, you can have as many fan pages or groups as you want.

You can technically create more than one account using different e-mails.

And if they find out they will delete all of your accounts. The rules are spelled out pretty plainly. One main account, multiple pages and groups.
That means you can have one account for you, and open as many pages as you want for your businesses. They make it pretty easy, no reason to cheat the system.

You're right. I'm not saying you should go out and create multiple accounts. Just saying that it is possible to create multiple accounts. It's just not a good idea.

Well I did it because I did not want the company site associated with my own. Did not want to get accused by management of doing personal stuff instead of business. This way, the only time I am even on it is when I am at work.

I've been baffled myself trying to separate my business page from my personal wall. As much as they claim to be able to separate one from the other it doesnt ever work out the way you'd like it to. If you create a new business page account its very limited. If you add a business page to your personal profile then you have to deal with your friends getting all of your business related updates.

I see people do that all the time, and it's not exactly working the system since the company page is actually in the company's name, with the companies contact info..you are just the administrator.

I don't believe there are any problems with that according to their T.O.S since you don't technically own that page.

Technically, if you are going to be the administrator of a business page, they would rather you put that page under your main account, but that would be tricky if you don't actually own the company..what if you get fired?

I think it was meant to address people who have a personal page, and run their own business so that there is some accountability on how you run your business page, and keep you honest.

Reading their terms, they really would rather have you use personal pages as just that. They have options for business pages, fan pages, and groups that give you a better designation in the search results.

I don't use the business page option, but the Fan Page doesn't do that unless you choose to share to your personal profile. From what I understand, the business page is very limited.
It takes a little getting used to , but you can keep them separate.
