I am looking into setting up a website for local service only. I would like to setup a blog and keep fresh contect on the blog. what is the best way to get organic traffic to my local service? If my local service is located in AL, and I get links from CA - will this still benefit my site? I can not provide service outside of my local area, and the goal is to get local organic links to my site...so i can get local traffic/clients. Thanks for your help.

you can get links from CA, but just make sure your backlinks are local specific like "Alabama HVAC repair"
also too submit your business to yahoo local and google maps! You will get ton's of backlinks from this! and local targetted traffic, I know I get it from one site for Orange County
