I'm currently using CPanel, and I'm wondering how you can add a logo so that it appears on the navigation bar of the internet browser.
    Is this difficult?

As ing said, you are probably looking to add a favicon to your site.

    1. Create the icon file (use a specialized program like Axialis Icon Workshop).
    2. Name the file "favicon.ico".
    3. Upload the file into the root folder of your site (use FTP or the Filemanager tool under Cpanel).
    4. You may need to refresh the browser page many times until the icon appears in the address bar (or to clear/refresh the browser cache).

    Good luck!

The favicon is 16 x 16 pixels, by the way. Simply resize your image, save as favicon.ico to the appropriate folder and your in business.

The favicon is better to include many sizes (48x48, 32x32, 16x16) and many color formats (24-bit, 8-bit). It should be generated with an icon tool, not just renaming a gif/jpg file, in order to be correctly displayed by all the browsers.

just to be clear, are you saying that it's not necessary to edit any code, and that i can simply upload the file to the root folder?

That's it. If the icon file is in the root folder and it is named "favicon.ico" then it is automatically loaded by any browser without adding any code.
