Well I have been using adbrite since July 2005 and i am still with them and i have never had any complaints . When it comes to comparing adbrite and adsense The only thing i can compare is the revenue for the last one year I make more money from adbrite and thats mainly coz i have a lot of traffic on sites i use adbrite for. My adbrite average works out at more then 4 cents per click for the whole year, You might think that its very low but some of my friends make way more then that and mine is 4 cents coz 90% of my traffic is from India. One major problem with adbrite is that half of the times ads dont show up in India and so i think they need to do something to get advertisors for India. Regards SmfSeo
I just switched one of my new sites to AdBrite from AdSense because AdSense was showing only two ads, instead of four, at a time becuase there aren't enough ads related to my site. With AdBrite, I can turn off the contextual (network) ads and only display ads where people have specifically selected to have their ads displayed on my site. Since I can set that price, I do believe I will make more than the few adsense ads that would be displayed.
AdSense is showing two ads on your site because there's a higher chance of them making more money for you and not because there aren't enough ads.
Can somebody tell me whether Adbrite Ads are real text links are not (i.e. links that can pass on link popularity) Also, can you give me an idea how to price the ads? Thanks
You can just let adbrite pick your cost for you to begin with. It's probably best to start off pretty cheap, then increase your price as you start showing higher conversion rates.
I use both, but I make more on AdBrite, because I set my own price and allow people to buy ads directly on my site. If you have a highly targeted audience you can often make a lot more by directly selling ads than by selling CPC.
And is it right to compare them at all. I never used Adbrite but always thought they are not interchangeable. Adbrite and Adsense are different concepts in advertising, one is based on a website and one is contextual...
But still people do compare them. Just came acroos a good article... Can someone who had experience with Adbrite comment on it: Google Adsense Vs Adbrite
As an AdBrite advertiser, I can tell you that if you can drive clickthroughs and ultimately conversions, then you will make money, but most sites do such a bad job of positioning their ads, that AdBrite ads don't get enough clicks or conversions to be worthwhile.
