Question on social bookmarking backlink

I have one question on backlink. Today when I made one new post I have social bookmark on several website. On one social bookmarking website ( sorry that I forget which the site actually) when I get my story published, and the page appear after published my story, was PR7 and I also check that the link I get to my blog permanent url was dofollow. So is it valuable?

 

The page at which your story appeared features dynamic content. The same page is used to display to every person who submit the stories.

Backlinks from social bookmarking sites do not have enough weight (or value). These are only for traffic and making your story or website popular.

 

Most Social Bookmarking sites are NOFollow. So Links from SB sites are not useful.

 

As mentioned, there are some dofollow social bookmarking sites , but the most popular are nofollow and are useful for direct traffic (When I bookmark one good article from youtips.net on Stumble Upon, I get about 100 UV to it)

 

I believe social bookmarking sites like digg become dofollow links once reaching a certain threshold. I always find it valuable to give users the options to submit my pages to their favorite social networks.

 

When i submit my site to bookmark site, i need to check whether it is do follow.Use "no dofollow", or you can try it.

 

I think links on social bookmarking site has value depending on it's quality even it's nofollow or dofollow.

 

If that is dofollow link and the URL is dedicated for your story, then yes, that'll probably valued by Google.

 

OOMG..Well mate Where have you found that exactly? Social bookmarking is a major component of off-page optimization as well as targeted traffic generation. There is nothing bad with them as long as you are not spamming.

I can understand waht you actually say. Then people say about backlink from social bookmarking site. So how actually get backlink? can you please inform me detail?

 

Yes the dofollow links are beneficial.

 

Hello, Thanks for the info i have learned here on your exchange of ideas. I am new to DP and still going over threads here on topics that interest me to enlightened me on some of the internet marketing experience.

 

I agree with you. Backlinks from social bookmarking sites only generates traffic especially if they are no follow. Before PR update I checked my website's backlinks using yahoo site explorer and I see that only few atleast 10 out of 100 backlinks that I created are just from social bookmarking. The rest are from blog commenting and link exchange.

 

google penalize any artificial back link creating so there is no dofollow or nofollow google is checking original content by using their algorithm, one one page there is no back link but its current breaking news then it will come top on google serp.

 

I think social bookmarking is useful to get a new site index in Google. Also it generated traffic. But to increase SERP I dont think it is useful.

 

May be Social bookmarking websites are given backlinks, Social bookmarking which is following "DoFollow" attribute.........

 

If that link is a do follow link, then it will count and its a more relevant and valuable link. Its good for your better search results.

what does increase SERP ? recently I notice many forums members reduce the value of "easy backlinks" .

 

So do you remember how many blog comments you made,and how many comment links are shown in yahoo explorer,I think your all comments will also not give you one link each.so what is the point?
