Anyone see an article that looks familiar to my blog? "Interview with a Digg.com Software Engineer: Kurt Wilms" Just hit the FP 10 min ago, let's see what kind of traffic stats I get from this!
Grats, keep us updated on the traffic results. I'm sure that's something that will interest more than just me!
I hit the FP with about 80 diggs and I'm already up to about 110, almost another 30 diggs within a matter of 15-20 minutes! Plus my article is still right at the top position on Digg, so I have a good feeling I may end up hitting into the most popular articles column on the right side of the home page, which would bring in even more traffic. I'll definitely keep this thread updated with stats and such, and come tomorrow I'll post up my analytics data, too
No need for FP marketing, I've already hit the front page... As it stands right now I hit about 4 or 5 hours ago, and my story is winding down on diggs. I am ending with around 230 diggs total. I didn't hit the popular section, but I can't wait to see how many more visitors I'll be getting from this!
your site hit frontpage of digg and didn't crash. I think that itself is something to be happy about. unless the stories about massive traffic spikes from digg frontpage are exaggerated.
I ended up getting about 7,000 visitors total from the link on Digg.com. Not exactly what I was expecting, but still a nice jump in traffic.
What is more important than that is the conversions to whatever way of your monetization is, adsense or affiliate, what was the conversion rates that you got, generally this is very untargeted traffic with just curious onlookers rather than serious visitors to your site. Care to share the conversion rates...
I would of thought more traffic than that, i have never come close to hitting the FP on digg, i don't consider digg traffic very good, their either idiots lol for using digg in the first place or its webmasters looking to re-write your content lol.. either way i can't see it converting well if anything it would damage your CTR. Please let us know your increased earnings if any ? Thanks
woow! that's really cool! I'm also dreaming that one day one of my site will hit the front page of digg.
did the traffic also increase the ad revenue proportionally? I always wonder if it's a good thing to have surge on traffic.
Honestly I did get a lot of impressions on the ads, but didn't really make any money off of them. I run a few clickbank ads and I'm trying to get some buyers into BuySellAds, but I didn't get any Clickbank purchases or purchases of ad space...
That is no good. I hate when you end up getting some nice site traffic but it just seems like no one wants to click an ad. I have those days on my site from time to time, I think we all do.
