I'm looking into starting a forum does anyone in here build forums? and if so how much do you charge? thanks have a nice day!

If you want to build forums, you will need to decide which software you want to use. We use vbulletin.com, however if you want something free, i would suggest looking at: http://www.mybboard.net/

Hi you MatrixGodFather , mate it always depends on the kind of site you're gonna run a forum on, but guess what forums are for interaction and are fun, so any topic would be fine.

If you want any help in the setup of any forum just let me know, phpBB, myBB, vbulletin, smf etc... I do it all and I can set it up for you, if you want.

As a beginner i would strongly suggest you to use phpBB or MyBB as said by 'Ace'.
Right at a first go buying a license worth $180 isn't worth. Get acquainted with a board first.

I've seen people use the free forums http://www.smfnew.com/

It'll get you to start out for free, you can always redirect a domain to the subdomain created on site.

Don't build a forum. I made a forum and it has 1000+ spam threads. It started out good but I just couldn't manage it.

 

got it up and running its www.AnswerSpots.com ya i'm going to hire a moderator to watch out for spammers.

 

Huh? You recommend not to start a forum just because you are incapable of handling spammers? LOL That's like not driving because you don't know how to wear a seatbelt...

Seriously, there are easy ways to block and prevent spammers with ease.
