With all these bad things that's happening around the world. Do yo think the small minority of Islamic terrorist making the whole look like terrorist( some people are making that assumption in US). I got a feeling within 5-10 years Islamic people would be afraid to walk around on they Islamic clothes without at risk of being attacked by people( due to people being paranoid) i hope that won't happen, but it seem like it might happen soon or later. I'm start to see a few low budget movies portrait Muslim as terrorist a newest one i watched was "Dead Air"
jonas18, I understand that concern but I do not think we're headed in that direction. there are some in this country who love hate & fear... but their kind lost a major battle in 2008 and I'm hopeful that we're on the road towards leaving that kind of thinking (or more accurately, lack of thinking) behind.
Well my friend that's not good for the good ones. Obama needs to keep His Eye on the Ball . I don't like the idea of playing Mr nice with them terrorists.
No. I think that the whole look like terrorists. Some commit the killing, most others support them. some of the latter are also active on this forum. City of Nablus, West Bank, 11 Sep. 2001
No, but i do think the majorities reluctance to condemn the atrocities committed by these people does.
The problem is we dont know who is the terrorist and who is behind them, dont get fooled by media or pictures. also we never asked our selves why terrorism even appeared.
This. I'm tired of the political correctness and will proudly admit that the culture of Islam is barbaric and destructive, just as I will admit the culture of Christianity is blind and primitive. I don't care if I upset anyone, I'm not part of a widespread cult that blows people up; something needs to be said of the destruction the religion causes.
I'll agree that extremists of all religions should be held accountable. But I do get uncomfortable when it seems like people are keen on using religion as a reason to discriminate. I think it's concerning how every time a Muslim person does something bad, there is an automatic reaction to blame his religion for it, but there is not a similar drive to blame the religion when someone does something awful and they happen to be of the Christian faith. I don't believe religious people deserve to be discriminated against, although I also don't believe that people who are NOT religious (such as myself) deserve to be discriminated against.
But one does it in the name of the religion and following its holey book. The other would be one someone does the opposite of the Book. Big difference.
Not really. This is just your perspective. There are those in this country who have killed doctors who perform abortions because of their Christian faith (that's the excuse they use, anyway.) I think it's a rather outrageous thing for you to say that Muslims who murder are just following the Koran. What about the billion Muslims who don't commit violent acts? To be clear... I don't think religion is the problem so much as fanaticism. Religion is fine when it's just used as a social thing. The problem is when people really start taking their religion more seriously than reality.
My post still stands - one follows the religion and kills, the other kills obviously not following the book he claims. Kind of like saying I am a brain surgeon and have never studied brain surgery - that compares to the guy killing an abortion doctor claiming to do it in the name of Christ(ian).
I judge that is the goal of the terrorists. The job is we don't pair who is the terrorist and who is behindhand them, don't get fooled by media or pictures.
You got that wrong, we need to pair the terrorists and those who are behind them together. If you support the terrorists actions by giving money, materials, educating, whatever... you are partners with them and deserve the same fate. We, however, should not put all muslims in the category with islamic terrorists. But muslims should speak out against terrorists who claim islam as their motive. Muslims need to take on the active role of getting rid of islamic terrorists if they want non-muslims to believe them.
I saw this on cnn last week and was blown away. I looked everywhere for the video clip: http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/11/05/radicals.mosque/ As long as there are groups like this, there will be many who will be less likely to trust anyone who looks like they could be part of them.
