Looking to have some banners made for my website. I have seen several free do it yourself sites and have tried them but without any luck. Any inexpensive banner makers out there?
Are you wanting something custom? cartoon? real photos? combination? And what price range? The more you want - price generally goes up. I've seen from "free" to stupid expensive.
I typed in "banners," and a loooooong list of sources came up. Yet you feel that you have to ask that question??? Well, ok, then.
I've found that posting a contest here on DP usually produces the best results. Firstly, you'll usually get a very reasonable price, secondly, you'll get several examples to choose amongst, and thirdly there's the competition aspect which usually makes all applicants work harder (the all want to win, right? ). Try it out.
Post a contest within the DP contest section. This way you will get multiple concepts to choose from at a great price. Saves spending hundreds on a shitty concept that a legitimate design company will do. Beware though, some of the 'designers' who submit entries in the Contests section are absolute noobs who have no design skill whatsoever. I have done 10 or so contests though and have never had a problem.
lol I can just imagine some of the attempts. I've tried making my own banners by taking other banners and replacing some images and text but it always looks awful.
just search google images, by with your desire width and height in google by entering relative keyword you will find out banners,

To be fair, there's a differences between seeing loads of sites and actually finding one that's any good.
