    Hey there,

You don't need a VPS for that, you could be perfectly fine on a shared hosting plan.

If you insist on a VPS, though, i'll send you a PM with a quick offer I can do with a control panel included to make your life easier.

    Thanks,

    Francisco

Yes, shared hosting should be enough! You get free cpanel, a lot of support, etc... It is easier than installing a vps from scratch and paying 15 $ a month for cpanel.

One of the best free host is byethost or awardspace (google them) or maybe 000webhost, they are reliable and good enough for your requirements. If you want a paid one, there are plenty of them! (like bluehost, hostgator, etc)

like every one told you. one shared is enough for what you want, no need to pay more for this.

1 GB Should be more than enough for your current usage.

In my opinion, a non-over seller shared hosting or a Basic VPS with 1GB should be fine because a overseller will kick you off in no time for using 900GB bandwidth and over CPU usage. So VPS with 1GB RAM should do the job. Do look into the bandwidth properly if that is a real stat because it maybe also due to hotlinking which might bring the bandwidth usage from a huge hump.

Is this for an adult site? I think you can get 1GB VPS 40GB space with 1000GB bandwidth for around $20-$25/mo. and additional fee if you want control panel like cPanel or DirectAdmin unless you're proficient enough to run and configure your site without one.

VPS will be more powerful and non restrictive than shared hosting for visitors of around 1,000/day.

Shared hosting will not be enough. For gods-sake he has 500 MB of SQL data which will raise the CPU limit on shared hosting like there is no tomorrow.

SQL size does not matter too much, it does but considerately, but yes, it maybe a pain to move it to another shared hosting provider as it will blast the server load to 10+ while restoring rendering other websites to slow down.

It does when its a social networking site, you have people posting, deleting, editing, registering, logging and a lot more. I would suggest you go with VPS to be on the safe side.

^^^ I see no relevance to a social networking site provided by the OP. Although yes, i did mention about VPS being a suggestion depending on different situations.

My apologies. But yet i do think that there is still a choice between shared and VPS depending on the height of resources it reaches to.
