i have a big collection of psd files in my pc. right now by default i can only see the photoshop icons even when i select the thumbnails view. so if i want to know what those files are then i would have to open each and every one of the psd files in photoshop.

is there a way that i can view all the thumbnails of the actual contents of the photoshop files (like a preview) , just like with normal images files so that i dont have to open each and and every psd file separately.

Well actually CS versions no longer supports thumbnail .PSD files in Windows anymore. But using the instuctions below, you can get them back in no time.

1 Download this file to a temporary folder.
2 Shut down all Adobe programs.
3 Set a ’system return point’ to allow you to rollback the changes should anything go wrong (if your system supports it).
4 Unzip it to C:program Files Common Files Adobe Shell. You could quite likely already have either of the DLL files. No matter.
5 Run ‘aiicon.dll.reg’ by double clicking it.
6 Run ‘psicon.dll.reg’ by double clicking it.

    ;)

Adobe bridge lets you view and organise all your files, you can even add keywords incase you run a search on your computer for files. Very handy

That is sharp! Thanks very much.

and don't use bridge with vista... You'll need all the soft memory you can save.

Try to click on the icon on the right hand up, it will open you the bridge application,
you will see all the psd at thumbnails option
