Agreed, If your site starts to sell even one copy, you can make 5X that amount back :D

From what I gather, the idea is not to sell multiple copies, but just one.

Develop it and sell it. Quick Cash. Plain and simple.

The moment you start selling multiple copies of the same product, the value goes down. There will be no uniqueness then, and all would be just copy cats of the same site

Am I the only one who sees the contradictions around here????

ohhhh and that hype about Automated blogging ranking high on Google is for lame ass keywords like

    - flying carpets for sale in long island new york -

It seems you are mixing two different approaches in to one.

This thread is about the idea floated by the OP about how you could get some fast cash just by putting up a site with a ebook, PLR or even taking ideas from amazon books, in to a ready to sell package which can be sold at flippa for some fast cash. This logic works on the concept of originality, and not multiple sales of the same product. This thread is about his idea, and not mine.

You may like to go through the post once more. The idea of amazon auto blogs is not about selling copies of the same product, but developing individual sites on different niches and no two sites are the same. Where as this thread is about selling up brand new, without promotion sites, my sites do not fall into that category as there is lot of promotion involved in my sites. They are not just put up and sold. They are developed and marketed, and they are not copy cats either. So where did you find the contradictions?

And frankly if "flying carpets for sale in long island new york" can get you some sales, does it really matter? If there are people ready to buy flying carpets in long island new york, do you find any harm in that. After all, the idea of putting up sites is always based upon the no. of searches versus the no. of results. But I am sure like everybody else you must also be aware of the fact.

And finally, please do not try to divert the thread in to a discussion about anything other than this thread. If you do want to discuss it further, please send me PM so that we can discuss it in detail, or may be can take it further on IM.

    Thanks

This is a really good Idea. If you put some effort into this and put your own spin to this it would make more.

    Good Job OP.

All of the "issues" that I have seen people list on this thread, Simply aren't issues at all.

You can get around all of them quite easily.

I'd like to hear your tips on writing (and designing) attractive and effective sales pages. That would be by far the hardest part for me. I've already got several original ebooks written (or in the works). Content is easy for me, the hard part is selling it :O

I second that, wow thanks for your help. I'm sure this is going to benefit a lot of users. +Rep added.

Haha I understand what you mean by most people are lazy and just want to make money, I fall into that category. while its not that I'm lazy but I'm too much of a procrastinator, like I purchased a hosting about 3 months ago and a domain name and have yet to launch a site because I keep moving on or doing other things or spending too much time on DP reading up random post.

It is a good idea, yet I still see on flippa pure content websites. I think people look at the income. So, even if you make just a 10 page content site, but you have income fron ads or affiliate sales than your site will be well worth it.

So, is Flippa the best place to sell a site? I have a forum with close to 11,000 members that I'm looking to sell because I'm moving out of the country and can't maintain it. Should I start on Flippa? Thanks....

    Thanks Anil.

It's nice to have someone sensible contribute.

When I do these packages, I write the sales pages my self. They're not the best - but if you google the "12 Steps Sales Letter", or buy Robert Planks "Fast Food Copy", you'll find a really easy way of cranking them out quickly.

The buyer knows they are getting bargain - you can't get a sales letter wriitten for under $500 normally.

    Thanks.

Taking this idea further, I did some preliminary research. I approached some people. I found that the minimum they would charge for a ready made site is $1000, and that too when they know me. I was totally aghast. My grand plans to earn by flipping sites were in danger. In my view if I invest $1000 per site, the least I should get back is a $200- $300 per site. That amount, unfortunately, no sensible person is going to pay for a brand new, not traffic-no revenue site. Throw in the additional costs like listing fees, domain name, hosting, basic marketing costs for backlinking, social bookmarking, profile creation etc, the margin would be razor thin. Add the cautious approach people always have whenever they go for a just-developed site, I immediately discarded this approach.

On researching the idea further, I found that it IS possible and there is a way out of this. This is somewhat different in that the initial development costs are low, the listing fees can be reduced or avoided totally and I can get an overall average profit of $200 per site. And the beauty is that 7-10 sites can be developed weekly. Taking an average profit of $200 per site for 7 sites per week, we are looking at $1400 weekly or minimum $3500-4000 month income, may be even $4500-$5000 per month. :D

I have not yet been able to set all the pieces in to place. Once, and if, I am able to do that, there would be no looking back.

    Let us see.

That's good news - proves that you can sell for a grand.

If you work hard, you could develop one of these packages in one week if your'e prepared to write it yourself.

If you wanted to outsource there are writers out there that will do decent ebooks for under $300. Then all you need is a few articles, a sales page, a few banners and you're finished with the project.

I don't think I can sell for a grand. Established sites yes. Just developed - No. Writing is something I am not comfortable with. It is not that I cannot write. I am an approved writer at ezinearticles and have around 10-15 articles accepted there. I also know that my English writing capabilities are not that horrible and I can put my ideas across. Somehow I feel its too much of a burden.

Getting an ebook written for $300 does not solve the purpose. The total cost would come around $400 (I am talking about the bare minimum - a top class sales page can set you back by anywhere between $500-700 plus cost of graphics) and the minimum sale should be around $500. Back to square one.

Well, if you write like you do on DP, you will be fine. Have you seen the quality of some of the stuff out there - even by so-called 'guru's'?

You could probably write better than some of them in your sleep...

Write the sales copy yourself - use the 12 step formula.

    Or, to sum up:

    • intro
    • bullet points (benefits)
    • guarantee
    • call to action
    • p.s

The buyers aren't looking for $10,000 sales letters, they just want something simple, and a package they can sell.

Just look up Kate Andersons packages she used to sell on Flippa. Easy, 1-2 page sales letters, no probs.

She's regularly sold packages for $1200 plus, and still does to her list.

I really don't think that I can call myself a writer. But thanks for the compliments.

Somebody once told me that if you can outsource any part of your efforts, just do it. It will get you some spare time which you can utilize in doing some research on how to make more money with the same amount of time.

I recently came across somebody who promised that he can write a sales copy for $25! Would you believe it! Though I have yet to verify its authenticity, somehow I do believe him.

If you go through my posts earlier, I talked about a strategy where I could get a site put up with very low start up costs. That forms a part of that.

And if I do succeed in successfully implementing this strategy, I could consider selling it on Click Bank as a $47 product.:D

I am sure it is a wild consideration, but would love to have a product selling at Click Bank

Well, there you go. I've found out that you can outsource to the Philipines and get a good ebook for $150 - $200. Plus the $25 for sales copy, $30 for 10 articles, $25 for someone to develop you some banners, $25 for an ebook cover. You're still in profit.

I've noticed some people on Flippa develop heaps of these websites - like they have a team working on them. Some of them don't sell, but the ones that do make 100's a day in revenue.

Putting an ebook on Clickbank will cost you $50, and obviously take more time if you're trying to make sales, which veers somewhat from the "$500 in 7 days" plan.

Yes. It can surely be considered.

The total cost would then be around $250. If the site can go for even $350, we are set to go!

The benefit of selling a clickbank listed site, though the cost would go up by $100 (50 for listing at CB and $50 for some more promotion), making an average sale of $100 per month (it could shoot up if some super affiliate picks up the site) is that it could be sold anywhere between 800-$1000, maybe much more.
