I'm sick of long blog posts on my main page.

    I just started a new blog about two or three weeks ago. My front page has been full with 10 posts for about a week now. I can't figure out how to shorten posts though.

    Is this the wrong html code?

    Here is the beginning of my post. <span class='fullpost'>And here is the rest of it.</span>

    what kind of platform are you using?
    If it's wordpress, you have a button called More to shorten the posting showed on front page.

    Quick Blogcast from Godaddy - I found this and it works, but I'm not sure how to use it.

    I do paragraph
    Code
    Adsense code+rest of the information once they click?
    Do I just put a link in it? can you put in a sample link?

    <!-- Code to show "Read more on this article..." Link (Begin) -->
    <b:if cond='data:blog.pageType != "item"'>
    <span>
    <a expr:href='data:post.url' style='color:#0000FF; text-align:right; font-weight:bold; text-decoration:none' >Read more on this article...</a>
    </span>
    </b:if>
    <!-- Code to show "Read more on this article..." Link (End) -->

    read this http://help.godaddy.com/article/3150

    it says # In the Excerpts section you can select an excerpt to display on the main page if your blogcast site. This gives readers a preview of what the post is about. To create an excerpt of the entry, highlight any portion of your entry and click Excerpt. For more information about creating excerpts, see Creating Excerpts for Blog Entries.

    So read this too:

    Good luck

    Saves me a ton of band width.

    Probably faster load times for people with slower browsers or internet speeds. It's a big help I'm grateful.
