I have one travel website which have suddenly lost all of rankings from the 1st page on more than 50 targeted keywords today... I have checked with the site - http://www.seopenalty.com/ which shows domain has VERY HIGH Penalty Penalty Level: tot. 10 points (0 min. - 10 max.) means totally penalized, I am using this site for the first time. How accurate is this? Anybody can help?
What did you do before your website has been penalized? Btw. are you sure it is penalized? Did the website disappear from the google index or only lost its positions in SERPs? How old is your website? It is possible it fall in the sandbox...
Yes, one way links definitely improve the PR of your site but you shouldn't be focused on that. You should get links from revalent sites in your niche regardless of PR. The whole point of SEO is to increase organic rankings and traffic to a site, not to get a high PR.
I have made a few changes on the site and that is one of them. Before I had 2,216 letters for keywords and I was told no shrink it down to about just 4-8 words and I have also joined a company who does legit, orginic, slow one way links. If you google 'Tungsten Rings' I used to be on page 13, I am going back and forth from page 4 to 5. (again, my site is Tungsten Fashions . com) Didn't know why that huge jump was for me, but like you said, I think its a combination of things. Also, thanks for the quick replay. Damien
OK, it doesn't look like a penalization. When you start to build links it happens very often that you website drops for a few days and sometimes weeks. Then suddenly goes up.
I think SEOPenalty.com is incorrect. We even don't know which factors it is based on. Check google.com, and it says that google has a point of 1
i think google will not penalize you if you are doing white SEO. Get over 1000 link to your site can make your site thought a link farm.
I am not sure how this tool is calculating the penalty level. But you need to tell us the website to check manually and inform the same.
there is no such tool that will tell you how much level your site is penalized. though the seopenalty is checking whether the site index or not based on that it is showing result. try checking them with unregistered domain
Well how do you know your website is totally penalised. If it is not appearing in google? Have you checked that is your site indexed or not by- site:yourdomain.com If yes, then just check your activities and see have you used any black hat seo or violate webmaster guidelines if yes then stop it immediately and do corrections and then submit a reconsideration request to google.
I definitely agree with you...It's not all about the PR it's all about rankings..whether your site has a high PR but is not ranking, it will not give you a high traffic and a bunch of money..
Well, its my client website, and I have analyzed a banned website linkage (bad neighborhood). Because it has been like 4 months website going so good for more than 50 targeted keywords, but now it is not there with any of the keyword.
is the site still indexed ? and did you check for any links from blog farms. It is also possible that some one is trying some negative SEO (well that is again a possibility).
did u check it with a '/' at the end of your url? then don't worry. http://www.seopenalty.com/ shows even google.com has high penalty when with a '/'. Some error i guess..
So your website is quite new. I believe it may be sandboxed. However, if you link to the bad neighbourhood you should remove these links. If you don't mind to post the URL here I can say you more.
