I am subscribing. This is exactly what I have had in mind for a long time. One thing I want to point out is that pro.seods started around Oct 20th and I believe Google dance was around Oct 30th and seems pro.seods has got PR 0 from PR none. pro.seods I want to say that from some of my studies before and the tool that I have, I think your PR is actually close to 2 despite the next update is months ahead, I guess your testing is benefiting me too to get some more data for my work.
Quick questions, I just just curious how soon did you see the serp jump after the pages of the link placed being indexed. and how many ranks jumped? and how many backlinks did you have for that keyword for the serp jump?
Well, I have not posted on all health niche blogs. I have varied my blog commenting. There are tricks of finding do-follow blogs and you will have to find them yourself. I build a list before starting out this case study and yes I am still building my list everyday. I have around 300+ do-follow blogs ranging from PE2-PR6. And around 30 health related blogs. Although, yes it really takes a lot of time finding these blogs hence people charge high for this service. Yeah it requires a lot of research. But google has all the do-follow blogs in the world. Search and you will find hell lot of them. Well, By the next update, I would try to bring the PR to 3 by posting more on high pr blogs.(or maybe 4 if I have time.) It took around 15 days on yahoo. I would say google has slow results so you will still have to wait and watch. Although, I am getting some traffic from the keywords I have been promoting. I jumped a lot of pages. Don't know how many backlinks I had that time. Right now I have 194 as per yahoo site explorer. But my guess is I have around 40-50 proper backlinks. I have to still see.
Great list. Just left you a comment on your blog too about it. Started going through and using them. Although I skipped the socialist site
I don't know why more people don't bookmark the sites they comment on. Pinging is also great but by bookmarking the page you increase the chances of it being crawled again, add more link juice to the page, and it's just a nice thing to do for a blog owner. I wish people would just send me a list of their dofollow blogs and I would be happy to comment, ping, and bookmark each page I comment on.
yeah, I have been thinking of pinging and bookmarking the sites on which I have commented or will comment. It's a good practice and if you want to speed up the results you should do them for sure.
Thank you for those 2 ping links. I wasn't doing this before, but will start doing it now as a good habit.
how effective have you seen this ? everyone knows it will work =D i am just curious on your report as far as timing goes =D
Yahoo has shown awesome results so far. Google is a little slow. I think it will take 15-20 days before showing any effective results.
I think when you are targeting one keyword you should concentrate on building for the same, rather than varying it. If you rank for one main keyword, you ranking automatically will increase for other sub keywords. Also, Adding your link in the comment will result in it to become a spam rather than a blog comment. If you need permanent links it's advised to comment (30-50 words) and add your link in the bottom. Moderators usually accept such comments. Hope that helps.
Major update: I am on the first page for the keyword I have been optimizing for a long time now. What do you think should I make that keyword public? Let me know so that you can see some live results of my progress. I am quite happy today. Also, I am on the first page with quotes.
With quotes "herbal recipes" I am on the first page 2nd position on google.com right now. Let me check yahoo. Will let you know. On yahoo.com I am on the first page of google 9th position for herbal recipes without quotes. I think I have shown progress on yahoo a lot faster than on google.
Nobody searches with quotes. For the targeted keyword you are on 16th page - thats not worthy enough to be called rankings. You want good backlinks ? I think i figured out your dofollow blog search somewhat
