I found some nice relevant keywords (long tail) for my sales page I'm developing but none of them have a lot of search traffic. I thought I would make multiple sales pages each with its own keyword based URL and optimized for its keyword, that way I could take advantage of the combined effects of all of the keywords. I'd be making basically five versions of the page, each optimized to a different keyword. My question is: would this cause me to get penalized for duplicate content? If so, would it be enough to spin the text?
You can just target one web page for all those keywords; there is no real need to make separate web pages especially if the are all relevant to each other.
If you have different product section then there can be different sales pages......but same category should have 1 sales pages.....
I'd like to really optimize to just a main keyword for each page - including using a keyword based domain which I couldn't do for multiple keywords. Wouldn't trying to 'optimize' for more than one keyword dilute the optimization for each one? I would think a single, targeted optimization for one specific keyword would be my best shot at a good SERP.
