Ask your friend for a valid reason why he thinks this will end

At the end of the day, it is a form of advertising, and advertising will not die.

Three months? I don't think so.

There's more than just one company willing to pay for reviews, and there are several different ways to monetize a review. When properly done, it's near impossible to tell the difference between a paid review and a genuine one that Joe Normal wrote in his blog.

I don't think so ... review still to be the best choice for marketer to publish their product and building link. As long as google do not change their system to rank website, review still the best way. Even Google hate it, but people love it as fastest method in the business. Day to day business, huge website, huge business, and huge product.

The only difference is now bloggers are required to disclose if they receive any special compensation for the review, ie: getting paid, or getting the product for free.

Ads will never die, blogs or not, but now that consumers are aware that some reviews are paid or receive special compensation, some reviews will probably not be seen as credible anymore.

It was bound to happen, reviews have been bastardized for a long time now and marketers have been faking it to unwary consumers in every way imaginable.

In the future you will have to build your credibility to make any real money doing reviews.

Not as long as there are companies willing to pay for them.

I don't think so. But I heard that FTC has passed some regulations for posting sponsored posts on blogs and that apples only to Americans. So no problem for the rest of the world.

    So funny.
Instead I find increased product review jobs in freelance job sites everyday. Product owners are gagging for a quality review.
