Now, you are calling Denise a witch to boot, unless I missed something... I have had friends who are witches and currently a neighbor down the road. Do I want to burn them at the stake? no.. Did I agree with what they are doing? no.. Do I treat them badly?no Would I let them practice it in my house?no

But turn the tables, do you have one real practicing Christian friend Yoyo? (not someone who watches tv evangelists either, I am talking about a Bible reading Christian?) Could you tolerate a Christian belief? or are you sick of the laws that are against stealing, killing, etc? I doubt you read this far, since I typed too much for you sorry.

My opinion:

I agree that evolution is a load of crock in our lifetimes. All our minds can even imagine is the less than 100 years that we live in. But think about extremely tiny changes over billions of years? That's millions of lifetimes. It seems as if we could have developed in that time.

Scientists have done experiments with bacteria that multiply millions of times faster than we do. They have put bacteria in situations that they cannot usually servive in. Bacteria that didn't evolve died, and then a new strain developed that could servive in those conditions. I think the same thing could have happened with humans, but since we don't reproduce as fast, it would take a lot longer for these suttle mutations to develop into much. (that's why we needed billions of years)

Also, think about disease such as the flu. Every year, there is a different strain that researchers need to find a vaccine for. This is because the virus evolves in such a way that it is immune to the previous year's vaccine! What a great real life example that is not in a test tube!

I believe that religion may be true, but I see no evidence for it except for ONE BOOK. I see a lot of evidence for big bang and evolution.

Evidence for big bang:

Researchers programmed the laws of physics into a simmulation machine and started it out with what they thought the very beginning of the universe was like. Then they pressed go, and and watched it at an extremely accelerated rate. What did they see? They saw dust clouds gathering, forming starts. Eventually galexies and clusters and planets. WOW! Has this ever been done with religion? NO.....

 

My son HAD a myspace account, if anyone seems to be selling themselves for free, it is on myspace. Cheesiest site on earth. Youtube will be next, some funny stuff there, along with my nutty baby sistser - bowiechick...
