Pete keep going. Do not concentrate on the negative people. Focus on the positive feedback only and revel in that.

I didn't contradict myself, wasting and spending money is not one and the same thing, get it now?

And yeah there are large websites on .info domains that get millions of visitors through search engines, now how's that for a change?

    Thanks

    Al.

    What's your take on

1- Writing articles related to the product you are promoting with links to your affiliate landing page in the article and ranking the article itself to get visitors to your page.

    VS

2- Writing articles that are not related to your product and your link with anchor text for a keyword in the article to rank your own site instead of the article.

I think you use method #1 but what do you think of #2? Wouldn't ranking your own site be more profitable?

#1 takes a lot of time, #2 brings traffic quickly.

for myself, I'm not patient enough to use #1

I often do both - point one link to an article I'm trying to get ranked high and one to my landing page. It can be easier to get articles ranked high quickly than your landing pages (especially EzineArticles), but you will always lose some of that traffic since they will have to click again to get to your landing page.

That's what I wanted to hear. I personally use method # 2 and it does well enough. I find it so distracting to get visitor from google > ezine > landing page > vendor page

About directorues, I prefer goarticles since approval is so fast and so with articlesbase. Ezine takes few days for approval. do you guys have better experience with ezine?

Ezine's pages usually rank best, but their submission process is ridiculous. I've pretty much stopped using that website.

ArticlesBase ranks well and approval is easy - that's my #1 choice. GoArticles is #2 in my opinion.

I did submit 5 different articles in the same time to each of the 3 directories.

Go articles approved all of them within 30 minutes - articles base within 16 hours - ezine in 5 days!

I was lucky to get all of the 15 approved though :D

EzineArticles can be a bit slow, but they rank well. I've never had any problems getting articles approved by them, but I know others have. I'll use ArticlesBase if I'm doing a url direct for a campaign, but their links are nofollow so they don't help much with backlinking purposes if you are trying to rank your own website. GoArticles publishes almost immediately, but they have trouble getting indexed by Google. Recently I've found ArticleSnatch to be good for fast indexing and publishing - they take about 12 hours, sometimes less, for Google to find them.

Tip: If you want to see if your articles are actually being indexed, then be sure to do a GoogleAlert for the keyword term you are using. (I love it when Google sends me an alert to tell me that it has found my article!).

articlesbase says they put nofollow tag in the links but they don't actually do ;) at least not now.

For indexing, I got goarticles articles indexed almost on the same minute they were approved. Indexing shouldn't be an issue on the 3 directories I think.

hmmm. all the articles I have seen (including my own) have nofollow tags with articlebase. you might want to check this again (the links in the resource box of all the articles I've seen on article base are nofollow, links to other articles on articlebase are dofollow). can you show me one that isn't nofollow? (maybe some of the older ones aren't?)

    Here's another thread on this:

This is a useful list I found referenced in another thread, but I couldn't begin to guess where it originally was... This is a list of the Top 50 Article Directories. It shows current Alexa Rating, Pagerank, and which ones are NoFollow. This changes, and the list has been updated regularly.

I've been reading your thread for a few days now and must say that your an inspiration!!! You've given me hope to try and make some money via IM'ing.

quick question: I read that you originally started with clickbank, and then plimus. I also saw that Plimus was making more money than clickbank. Would you suggest that a psrson, when choosing between the two, should start off with plimus or with clickbank?

Again, thanks for such a great journal. Hoping to hear from you.

Plimus is pretty terrible. Deals go sour, expire, etc.. You have to do tons of research before you find the right product.

having your site on first page on google is way better than having an EZA on first page on google which links to your landing page.

on your site you can always get his email.... and the CTR going to your landing page (from your site) it's higher since you don't have 100000 adsense splattered all over the place (like eza has) and all 'similar' articles are on your site, not like on eza... if a guy clicks a 'similar article' or something on eza he'll buy the product through other affiliate....

so yes. ranking your site on 1st page >>>>>>>>>> EZA :p

it will take a bit more time, tho. :)

    Pete Hols,

I'm Gonna be totally honest with you ..

With an articles base article with just a little bit over 50 views, you ain't got no way to make $35,000, let alone make $60,000.

Ok lets get down with this, either be honest with users on DP or just close thread down I am just fed up with your non-sense and stupidity.

Now peace, just make youtube video of your clickbank account, and simply prove that you have earned that much money to everyone else on these forums..

How would you make thousands of dollars with 24 articles? LMAO, guys just drop down on this thread and forget about it.. I am submitting dozens of articles daily and never reached a 4K month, and Pete comes here with all this crap that he's made 40K over the past couple of months. LMAO LMAO

    Regards
    Alex ;)

I'm too lazy to search but I remember pete posting his earnings proof screenshots a few times in this thread a while ago. Also, he's probably not focusing on the "free" campaigns due to his actual work etc. And we can hardly blame him for spending time on himself. Otherwise, it's just plain dumb to jump to random conclusions.

He's posted 4 screenshots way back in his first months..

What's that hard in making a video on youtube with some "REAL" proof ?
