Are Ad unit and Link unit are Same?

    Hello :)
    i want to know that accourding to google there will be 3 ad units in one page so is there any difference between AD UNIT AND LINK UNIT. please tell me about that how many ads should i place in my blog ? i have 2 Link Units and 1 Ad unit.......

    Yes There is difference, Ad Units, may be a image ad and a combination of text links, but Link Unit is purely Link ad may contain 4 to 5 links,
    you can put max 3 Ad Units, + ,2 Link Units + 2 Search units
