What to do with unused website(domain name)?

Hey Pals,

I am not using one of my websites anymore because of tight projects schedule. It has got PR 2. I don't want to sell it but I don't want to keep it idle either as I may need after a year or so. So help me with some ideas. What can I do with it? I cannot monitor it actively and at the same time it should be useful to me in some way like generating at least small revenue as I got PR.

Fill it up with adsense and keep it ideal if you have some free hosting space around which will atleast get you some revenue from your unused domains.

 

If it's a blog, you can hire writers to post on your blogs. That will increase your traffic and site value

 

Park it

 

I will agree with geekos. Your actions should depend on the site income, if it stable and sufficient for maintenance of this project is better to employ for a small payment of the manager of a site or separate authors for periodic updating of the information and work with visitors by their inquiry.
If the income very low and a platform contains not to create after a while new it is better to freeze the project... It will not affect the income, and to look after it аз three-four months you and itself can.

you can set those domains to have parked pages they will show ads on those pages and u can earn money whenever user visits and clicks on ads

 

I have an unused domain. And just can't be bothered with it. Only recently bought it

 

Put a few pages of content and a couple of ads and you should be ok until you get time to run it again.

 

You can rent the domain to other people.
Then let them develop the domain.
At the end of month,the earning will be split between you and developer.

 

It depends on the domain. Doubtful anyone would rent it, unless it's just spectacular

Parking is only worthwhile if it's a killer domain. Does it make any money now ? PR 2 is nothing to be concerned over.

Just leave it as it is. If you aren't going to update it, no since in taking down the content to park it and make nothing.

May as well just leave the adsense on it and leave it sit until you get back to it. It's no big deal, I must have 30 or so domains sitting around waiting for me to get to them. If it's not making any money now, you aren't going to lose any, but there is nothing you can do to make it make money if you don't have time for it...but like I said, hard to answer that without knowing the domain and if it makes any money currently....everything else is just guessing without any details.

You can share it with one of your friends or family members. In that way you can improve your site while helping others!
