I'm trying to launch our new affiliate program and would like to know if anyone has every used any sort of affiliate directory submission service or tried and true methods of getting your affiliate program exposed. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, -Paul
I Paul, The affiliate directory submission service I used to recommend, AffiliateFirst, is not doing submissions any more. Affiliate directories are not as successful for recruiting as they once were. So if I were you I'd just do the top 10 or so on the list below, by hand. These are ranked by Google PR. Skip #1 AffiliateTip because it's no longer a directory, skip 5 Star because I only my directory is exclusive and I only list my clients, skip the gambling one. Do the other 10. Won't take long. http://www.google.com/Top/Computers...ffiliate_Programs/Resources/Directories/?il=1 Hope this helps and best of luck!
Hi Paul, Some affiliate forums allow new program announcements. (including DP, as well as the right section on my affiliate forum). You just have to search each forum to find the right section and read the rules to see what's allowed.
I second what said 5starAffiliates. However, if you decide to submit your affiliate program to more directories you can hire somebody using freelance marketplaces like Scriptlance. I have hired many people for similar jobs and it works fine. It may happen that you will not receive too much traffic from the affiliate directories which are not in top10. However, some of them use dofollow links to link affiliate websites so it can help you to rank well in google and receive some SE traffic which will convert in affiliates.
Thanks for the advice...I've actually hired someone for a month to submit my program to 1000 plus affiliate directories. I'll do the top 10 myself. Thanks for the advice, -Paul
Linda, I would to get a review of my affiliate program from you. I've sent several emails as described in your page but have never received a response... Thanks, -Paul
Hi Paul, I'm sorry, I'm pretty good about replying to emails and don't recall seeing any from you, but I get a lot so possibly I missed it. I don't normally do reviews per se but would be happy to take a quick look. Please try emailing me again at linda AT 5staraffiliateprograms DOT com and be sure to change the AT to @ and DOT to . and I'll be on the lookout for your email. Put DigitalPoint Merchant in the subject line so I'll know it's you.
Hi, the affiliate directory don't get good traffic as they promise, From them only one works for me others are useless.
It probably depends on the number of listed affiliate programs in the directory. There are affiliate directories with thousands of links and specialized directories which list only a few niche affiliate programs. So if you submit to the directory where are thousands of links, there is not big chance that yours will be clicked.
Can I use CommissionMates if I already host my own affiliate program using iDevAffiliates? Thanks, -Paul
toolsmith I replied to your email. Need more info. Also can give you feedback about joining an affiliate network.
